Some Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs

You would not think so, since they are essentially the same thing, but these annual Easter specials taste different than your standard Reese's cups. The peanut butter is different and I think the chocolate is a bit milder flavored. I like them.

2 ears of corn on the cob.

A little early this year, usually get fresh corn of the season right before US Memorial Day weekend.
As usual, what was supposed to be yellow corn, was all mixed with mostly white corn. I prefer the stronger taste of yellow, but the market seems to have gone mostly toward white corn the last few years. Just like those bland tasting "white" peaches people seem to like.

A few bottles of Redd's Peach Ale.

Wow, this is some good stuff. I've always liked Redd's Apple Ale, it actually tastes like ale with apples. Unlike the many hard ciders, which are often a little too sweet. I have to be in the mood for one of those, and some I've tried are better than others. Angry Orchard is probably the best I've tried. Redd's made a Strawberry Ale, but it is now discontinued. I did not care for it, myself. I had hoped it would make a good replacement for Wicked Pete's Strawberry Blonde, which I liked a whole lot. Unfortunately, Pete Slosberg retired and sold his brands to a company that discontinued them all.

This Peach Ale is a limited edition product that's likely to go away soon. It reminds me a bit of Dogfish Head's Aprihop, which I think is also discontinued. So, gotta enjoy it while it's around.

Redd's Blueberry Ale

This is the other new flavor from Redd's. I'd been reluctant to try it, as I could only find it in 12 packs and it is a bit pricey. Especially considering I might not like it. But it was on sale this week, so I decided to take a chance.

It is actually a pretty good balance of flavors. You can taste the blueberry, but it's not overpowering. And looks like an ale. Not at all much like Wild Blue, which is actually blue in color and tastes like carbonated berry juice, and not overly sweet like a hard cider. I still like the peach ale better, but this is drinkable.

A pile of nice, juicy strawberrys.
Boy, this has been a great year for those wonderful little treats.

I noticed right after Trump got elected, all the Mexican beer brands started heavy TV advertising. Sort of a pre-emptive strike against all his Mexican rhetoric? Anyway,

I had a nice salad with these great little orange grape size tomatoes. Very tasty. mild flavor. A few pennies more, but not expensive, since they are considered a 'gourmet' variety.

Mixed up 2qts of a Kool Aid flavor I don't ever recall having tasted before: Sharkleberry Fin.

Pretty good, sorta tasted like strawberry watermelon? Not sure what it's supposed to be.

Looked it up, it's orange strawberry banana.
