How will canadian fans be able to see Impact?

Post by isrs4life » Tue Dec 30, 2014 3:46 pm

How will canadian fans be able to see Impact Wrestling?

I know sn360 wont be interested
TSN is up there but they dont have any wrestling program on the network.
I see there are like 5 tsn channels now it could hold a nice thing for tna
So it would be on wed like nitro use to be back in the day if wwe has sn360
tsn would be a great place for to watch it in canada

It also would be hard to see if CBC or CTV get it i'd be shocked if it
went on any of those channels that isnt tsn.

All five TNA fans will just have to download it. TSN had no interest in carrying WWE back when the Score got them, they'll be less interested in an all-but-dead TNA.

There could be a novelty network that would pick it up, but TSN is completely done with wrestling forever. Always and forever.

In terms of something with widespread national coverage, there's pretty much no network that would pick them up, as neither Global, CityTV or CTV are wasting prime time hours on a ratings vacuum like TNA. The most TNA is going to be able to wrangle in Canada right now would be the FIGHT! Network on Digital Cable and Satellite providers and that's about it.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "novelty network", which of course, Destination America is itself.

Yeah, but even Destination America is a bigger network than FIGHT! is. Pretty much any decent indy promotion with a decent camera and a couple dozen shows on tape can get to air their stuff on FIGHT!

That seems to be the general consensus regarding the promotion.

Least smackdown be on wed in Canada that would be every other day to watch wwe
and less movies for me this year if I find anything good.

Giant TIger is a nice place to pick up movies if canuck has one in his city.

Once the WWE Network becomes available where you live, you'd be able to watch NXT on Wednesdays.

I miss NXT, Main Event is just not the same and I'll be damned if I'm subscribing to Rogers bastardization of the WWE Network.

Canuck does not, none in Newfoundland to be found.

If you're prepared to pay extra, there's a service called unblock us - http://www.unblock-us.com/ which would bypass region restrictions and allow you to access the full network.

I don't use it myself, Lance Storm uses it and advertises it frequently (in addition to posting on twitter daily about the matches he is watching in Canada from the network)

I had no idea about that, thanks Andy, I might see what that's all about.

I don't think Greg forgot that New Brunswick is a part of Canada Isrs, he simply didn't know if the Network was in your area yet or not.

I'm in Canada, and the Network isn't available where I live. It's only on Rogers and Eastlink services to date, if memory serves.

I've got plenty of friends that use that type of IP blocker to access American Netflix, and I don't know of any of them paying for such a thing, so I'm not sure where the "if you don't mind paying more" comes from. At the current exchange rate, the WWE Network is actually 20 cents CHEAPER in America than the shitty Canadian version.

As I've been slowly getting back into watching WWE PPVs, I'm considering getting an American subscription. I've heard that they can have issues with streaming the live events, but all archived stuff works perfectly.

The service I mentioned isn't free. That's why you pay more.

If you have other methods of accessing the network, then that's great.

Fair enough. I've never done it, so I have no knowledge of these things. I've just never heard my friends mention it costing anything, although they might be using a less sophisticated system, since Netflix doesn't care, but the WWE Network is integrated across platforms and such.
