Did... did Vince Russo have input into the business management? Also, weren't they dramatically cutting their insane salaries at that point, while hanging onto the people that were actually producing interest? Oh, and consolidating their touring to places where they could still draw crowds? Aren't those all pretty sound business practices to employ, while Russo salted the creative earth?

Bischoff was making some moves at that point on the business side of things. Trying to clean up WCW as much as he could so it would look like a juicier apple for Fusient Ventures to buy up. Unfortunately for Bischoff all of that went up in smoke when Jamie Kellner came into the picture after the AOL/Time Warner merger and decided he didn't want wrestling on TNT or TBS and axed all of WCW's programming in one fell swoop. Fusient ran away without a TV deal and Vinny Mac showed AOL the money and the rest is history.

I highly doubt that. The WWE would benefit in no way from rushing out that content. Wait until the memories from those that watched it have gotten rose-coloured, and then roll it out with minimal fanfare.

Now whos going to study all of sting angle and Christian matches?

I also wonder about WCW would they have a historian guy who knows
the background of WCW for what releases they put on dvd this year?
I know Vince seems to like the brand now.

If there's one thing we should have learned about Dixie Carter by now, it's that she over-values everything about TNA. As such, I would expect her to try holding out for more money, when it comes time to sell the video library. It would be a fit of madness for WWE to cave to that, as there's nearly no value for them, beyond completionist purposes. Because of that, my assumption is that the video library wouldn't be acquired until folks had stopped even thinking about it, and the Carter parents were just sick of having it on the books.

True. Aside from some possible stuff on Christian, Sting, and maybe Team 3D and Kurt, TNA's library has little value for WWE right now.

I expect WWE will eventually buy that library but don't expect it any time soon.

So basically...

So have they officially gone off of Spike or are they still being shown on there?

They're done after December. I think what's left to air on Spike is already in the can and they've got no shows booked.

They did four days of taping in September, and Roode winning the title, which just aired, was on the second day (they still had Manhattan shows in the can when they taped that block). They have no shows of any kind scheduled until they go to England in January.

Their site says they are doing a double TV taping on January 31. I don't get that.

So are they just going to try and take their..."talents" somewhere across the ocean?
