Do we want to make semifinal and final predictions for the BOSJ?

Semifinal 1 - Alex Shelley v. Matt Jackson
Semifinal 2 - Ryusuke Taguchi v. KUSHIDA

Final: Taka Mac

What determines the Semis? 1A vs 2B, 2A vs 1B, or 1A vs 2A, 1B vs 2B, etc...

I'm kind of hesitant to give it to a tag worker though. But apart from Desperado, Liger, and Taguchi, I don't know many of the singles workers in the tournament.

Well, with Ibushi wrestling more heavyweights, they are going to have to break up a tag team I think and KUSHIDA/Alex Shelley seem to be a candidate to do that.

Taichi is going to be suspended after the tournament because of an alleged affair he had. Japan's culture is interesting.

Maybe, maybe not. Reports are that the crowd was firmly behind Taichi on day 1, with lots of Lets Go Taichi chants, and he addressed the crowd with defiance that nothing was going to change him.

This is definitely something to keep an eye on coming out of BOSJ. And for those who aren't following, it came out that Taichi had an affair with a woman who isn't his wife and mother of his 2 year old daughter

It was announced before the tournament. They might change their mind but I doubt it for some reason.

The reports I read said that they were doing an investigation that would last 10 days (through the BOSJ), and then act from there.

Either way there will be SOME action, but they might have the room to spin this to their business favor, depending on what else comes out here

UPDATE: NJPW announced that Alex Shelley suffered a shoulder injury at today's show and is out for the rest of the tournament. So Taichi, who was in 3rd place on B Block, will replace Shelley in the semi-finals. New Semi-Final match-ups are:

* KUSHIDA vs. Taichi
* Ricochet vs. Ryusuke Taguchi

BOSJ bounce back from that injury for the finals, driving it home on the rebound, as Ricochet beats KUSHIDA to win the tournament. That's two years in a row that a gaijin has won, and Ricochet becomes the fourth foreigner in the tournament's long history to emerge victorious. The others are Prince Devitt (twice), Black Tiger II (Eddie Guerrero), and Pegasus Kid/Wild Pegasus (Chris Benoit, twice).

Ricochet will face Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title at DOMINION 6.21, in Osaka.
