Apparently the season 3 premier of Rick and Morty is on Adult Swim's website. Not a joke!

^^ season 3 TV premiere supposed to be 24 April.
Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
I finished watching 13 Reasons Why on Netflix.
Ho-
Ly-
Shit
It is really freaking good, heartbreakingly sad, and when Netflix puts a viewer discretion advised warning up for each of the last two episodes (they do, and they mean it), it is extremely warranted. The scenes they are warning you for are intense, haunting, and extraordinary.
To put this in other terms: If you remember my movie thread review of Hard Candy, the ending of this show left me in the same disturbed, contemplative headspace as the ending of that movie.
I give this among my highest recommendations. If you can, you should watch this show

Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
And speaking of Marvel shows, did anyone care for Legion? FX network had been heavily promoting the show since last summer. It was cool to see David Selby back on TV, even in a limited part. He was a pretty popular star playing Quentin Collins on Dark Shadows back in the late 60s. And Aubrey Plaza is pretty good playing mildly deranged characters. But I watched the first 3 episodes, and decided it was a waste of my time. It was well made, but the disjointed story, what of it I could follow, just plain sucked IMO.Big slim wrote: Anyone here catch Iron Fist? From everything that I am seeing and hearing, the show appears to be a steaming pile.

Disjointed story, that should be the subtitle for all X-Men films.

I checked out Iron Fist. It's not....*BAD* but it's the weakest of the four Defender shows. When they get to punching things with the Iron Fist and fighting The Hand it picks up. But the first like...4 and a half episodes are not exciting viewing. Once Wing starts illegal cage fighting though, bidniss picks up

Watching Prison Break. Kind of funny that Fox decided to bring the series back while I was in the middle of it, kind of like a bonus season.

While we're doing Netflix recommendations may I throw in a recommendation for Black Mirror? Incredible show for anyone who hasn't seen it, especially Season 3. Holy fuck Season 3.

Veep returns tonight. No Silicon Valley, though, I assume that's being held to debut with GoT. It will be strange to watch Veep without a new episode of GoT preceding it.

Getting started on Shameless. Watched the first episode last night with my cousin and was pretty entertained.

Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
I'm on the 4th season of Full House from Netflix and I realize how many times Joey wore the red wings jersey which I think was cool but did
not notice it when I was a teenager.
I had finished watching TMNT (2012) season 1 which is now on netflix I hope they add the next 3 full seasons a head
because there is only 2 season available...

Sense8 is back. A show that is very much my jam. It's a show that embraces it's concept and becomes a refreshing reprieve from the run of the mill self-serious but in the end inert TV shows that have occupied so much space as of late. I'm looking squarely at House of Cards, Mr Robot and probably some other shows I haven't bothered to watch when I say that. Sense8 is a nice break from that formula.

Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
This isn't exactly new news, it is just that I only came across it over this past weekend.
Looks there is going to be a Season 2 of The Shannara Chronicles after all. I liked the show and thought it had good potential when it aired on MTV a year and a half ago. But I never heard if it was going to be renewed after the season ended. News sources I came across the other day said it will be on again this fall, but is moving to Spike TV network, as it did not seem to appeal to the primary MTV audience.
I'm looking forward to it.
