Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
Yes, indeed Nucks, it's a show you can endlessly be at home with. I loved Roz, she added so much to every scene she was in.
Every episode is like a novella. I will admit to not watching them in the order they were released. I hoped around through it depending on which episode peaked my interest the most, I recently got up to date with it when I watched the episode "White Bear" that was a mistake because that episode made for incredibly intense viewing. I can't wait for what Season 4 brings in December.

I too am pumped, should be a good one after the disappointment of The Defenders.

The Defenders was a disappointment? I thought that was decidedly good, compared to Iron Fist.

I didn't even bother with Iron Fist so it didn't cross my mind. Oh, that's night and day. I just expected Defenders to be a bit better given the magnitude of the team up what we got was a mild rehash of Daredevil season 2 which was fine but didn't do a lot for me.

Defenders was good, not great. I'm hopeful that we are done with the Elektra stuff as I think focusing on her dragged Season 2 of Daredevil and having her be such a focus took a bit away from The Defenders. Also Iron Fist was just so...bad.

Poor Finn Jones, that should have really been his breakout role. He was great in Game of Thrones when they gave him lines. His deleted scene in Season 2 of GoT really stands out as a stellar performance in my books.

Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
He comes off as the most bland and unremarkable dude, and the show tried to build him up as The Special, when there were other characters that were more interesting and had better shows. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones each offered different perspective that weren't really touched on in the MCU before and even though both are lesser known characters (especially Jessica Jones) each show was able to craft people that you cared about. It's why the strongest things in both seasons of Daredevil were Kingpin in S1 and The Punisher in S2.
Daredevil himself isn't the most interesting character in the show, but everything surrounding him and those playing off of him makes the show better. That and the fight scenes.
Iron Fist is the one character that needs the most rehabbing when his second season comes around. Luke and Jessica just need more rounding out, but those two are on much more solid footing than Fist.

Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
A couple of episodes into the Punisher, it's pretty good so far but I'm not sure if the show justifies its 13hr runtime.
Stranger Things had 9 episodes and it was just about right for what they wanted to do with the second season. This feels mandated. The Punisher as a character is great in small doses, just worried you'd take the sting out of him with this kind of runtime.

I'll likely catch up on this over the weekend on on my day off on Thursday. I'm hearing some mixed feelings on the show.

It's pretty good, except that some episodes are far better than others.

After finishing it I was pleasantly surprised at how the show was paced. I liked it. It was sadistically violent towards the end.

The season finale of Shannara is already here. Seems quick? That's because they had a pair of new episodes last week and the last three tonight. Methinks it's the end of Shannara.

Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
^^ I thought they did a good job resolving the story arc, but the way they killed off half the characters in the last 3 episodes also gives me the impression they may not have much hope for another season renewal.

I have a Live PD marathon on now while getting Thanksgiving dinner in order.
Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
Likewise, Mafwanix, it was a great conclusion to all the story arcs and left things feeling resolved while leaving the door open for a third season if they get it. But, I won't hold my breath. Just glad they got this far and could wrap up the major plot.

Re: Last Show You Watched Thread.
Dam, I caved in at wal-mart for buying alf the alien complete series for 40.25 and the package is nicely done.
I just said well I did once like Alf and I saw over half the series when I was in high school but never had a content
watch of the show and how I feel now then back then. And I also think its a different show to watch and I have not
seen it on much channels since it was on the family channel one time.
I just need something old to watch during christmas break and after.
