MOD POWER ISSUE
Hi, guys. I've been away for a while. I'm sure some of you have heard that I had a stroke. I'm recovering well, and really am fine. It's just kept me a bit busy.
Down to business. It seems something has gotten all mixed up with regard to moderator powers. I've contacted Paul Nemer, to get it all cleared up. In the meantime, don't use them. That should be a given, but in case it's not, there you go.
Thanks.

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
Had been wondering where you were, didn't read it here (was it in the count to a million game?). Glad to see your recovery is going well.
(I know the thread isn't intended to be about you, shut up).

You really think I'M going to listen to you or follow your textual guidelines right now, Greg?

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
Thanks, guys. I should be around regularly, again.
Anyone who did notice any gain of mod authority, please take a look to see if you still have it. Paul just did a reload of permissions, which should clear it up. Let me know if you still see anything out of sorts.

Everything is back in order for me now. Good to see you, Greg. We all miss you, man.

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
Working at an elderly home I have seen how devastating a stroke can be. I wish you a healthy recovery,

You mean having the menu button at the top of the page? If so, try clicking it, and see if anything's available inside.

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
Oh cool I have a button too, but only if I click on the home button. I can click on all things inside it and be led to the destination page and see what's available. I clicked on user notes and clicked on myself and gave myself a note saying "testing" and it was applied.
Not going to muck around other than that though.

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
Thanks for letting me know, Andy. Through further testing, it seems that members aren't able to see reports that are made, so functionality of the moderator panel is limited. I've let Paul know, so hopefully it gets back to normal, soon. In the meantime, it looks like we don't have to worry about any rogue elements mucking up the place.

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
Greg ,its greatyou have been able to recover. You did an outstanding job no selling that stroke.
I had no idea I had Mod powers for a brief time and damn if I wish I knew.
As always, I follow the rules and guidelines. I doubt Jimmy will though.

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
Paul is aware of the issue, and is trying to address it. It's super weird, and he's not sure what is causing it. Might take some time to straighten it out.
And no, as always, I can't actually DO much of anything. I'm a moderator, not an administrator.

Re: MOD POWER ISSUE
The problem with your solution, like when trying to woo the ladies, is it's not a matter of just stroking the keyboard, it's about producing the right combination of strokes to produce the desired effect. And Lord knows Greg doesn't have the touch with the ladies!
