I dont use Microsoft Word very much but I have an old copy
burnt for me and I think it was back from 2002 and has codes
on the disk for me and I put it on windows 7 and works great.

It's pretty universal across the different versions of windows.

Just might end up having formatting issues, if you're moving files between versions. Sometimes lose spacing and stylistic elements, but the text itself carries over just fine.
