CJ made a good executive decision to not let his guy go nuclear. I wholeheartedly approve

SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume Nine-Twelve Compilation Part One

Saturday Week 1 May
SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume Nine
Frontier Fieldhouse: Attendance – 1,798

Bryce Remsburg, Allison Danger, and Dave Prazak open SHIMMER Volume Nine by announcing tonight's SHIMMER title match, with Dnager taking particular glee to emphasize: Serena Deeb will defend the title against the Havok Death Machine, Jessicka Havok
Rating: C+

Davina Rose comes out to the ring first for the first match, slapping hands with her infectious happy-go-lucky energy. To the shock of everyone, the next theme song that comes up is AFI's Prelude 12/21, and out comes Madison Eagles. She grabs the microphone and tells everyone that this is not happening. Madison Eagles is not going to go on one more minute without getting what she wants, or what the everyone watching SHIMMER is begging for: Madison Eagles ruling the world. So it doesn't matter who you thought you were wrestling (she directs to a now scared Davina), you are dealing with Madison Eagles now. A very unhappy Madison Eagles
Rating: B

(1) Madison Eagles vs. Davina Rose
Eagles (3:11) via Hellbound
Davina is plucky for a bit, but Eagles is just on another plane of existence tonight and she puts Davina down
Rating: C

Eagles takes the stick again as the crowd chants “We Want Eagles” and she can't believe this is it, that this is all they've got back there, and yet she is still not SHIMMER champion. She knows Dave Prazak is listening. She knows Allison Danger is listening. She knows Serena Deeb is watching. And this show is over. Until Madison Eagles gets the SHIMMER Title shot she is so unjustly being denied, NOBODY gets to come out here and get in this ring. And if they do, she will kick their head off.
Rating: C+

Veda Scott comes out next with her theme song and she does her regular routine but when she tries to get in the ring, she tells the ref it's okay to ring the bell but the moment she turns her attention to Eagles she eats all six feet one inch off head kick from Eagles...
Rating: B-

(2) Madison Eagles vs. Veda Scott
Eagles (:32) via Hellbound
Then is leveled by Hellbound
Rating: C-

Eagles gets back on the mic and says she can do this all night if she has to, and Allison Danger finally comes out and gets in the ring. She reminds Eagles that she better not try any of that with her because anybody that puts their hands on Danger will be suspended indefinitely from SHIMMER. Now getting down to brass tax, yes, everything Madison Eagles has said here is true, except for one thing. SHIMMER doesn't deny anyone a title shot that deserves it. Madison Eagles herself will admit that she had a knee injury that almost cost Eagles her entire career, and she expects to be gifted a SHIMMER title shot just because? Well that's not how SHIMMER works and she knows it. You get a title shot when you earn a title shot, and Eagles hasn't earned a title shot because the SHIMMER officials don't believe in Madison Eagles anymore. There are better girls, hungrier, healthier, more athletic than Eagles. Just plain better. Danger hates to admit it, but someone like Serena Deeb has earned the right to be SHIMMER champion and Madison Eagles simply isn't that good anymore, and if Eagles doesn't get out of this ring right now, she will be kicked out of the building and she won't be back in SHIMMER any time soon.
Eagles stands tall over Danger and walks her back into a corner against the turnbuckles and tells Danger that she's not going anywhere because all she needs is one opportunity to take all those pretty little words Allison Danger just spouted out and stuff them back down her weasely mouth and there isn't a thing her friends Mercedes and Melissa can do about it.
Danger smiles and she tells Eagles she'll make her a deal, she'll get Madison Eagles ONE shot at the SHIMMER title, but she has to do three things for Danger: One, vacate the ring immediately so they can run their show. Two, agree that if she gets a title shot at SHIMMER Volume Ten and does not win the SHIMMER title, she will not challenge for the SHIMMER title again. And three, to get that match at Volume Ten, she has to win her match tonight. Eagles says if that's all she's got then she's got a deal, so who does she got because she already won twice so what's one more time?
Danger then pushes Eagles away and tells her she will face The Originals and Eagles laughs that that's nothing because she can beat either Melissa or Mercedes, but Danger then corrects her and says she will face BOTH of them, together, in a handicap match. And she sure hopes Eagles learns a good lesson about what it means to cross an Original. Danger leaves with a devious grin on her face while Eagles tells the camera that soon the SHIMMER title will be back where it belongs as she finally exits
Rating: C+

The camera goes to the back where you would think Saraya Knight would be happy, having her Dynasty back together in full but Rhia O'Reilly and Nikki Storm can only stand at Saraya's side in shock and horror as Saraya screams NO NO NO NO NO, over and over and then cradles her head between her arms with her hands clasped behind her head, and Nikki tries to console the Queen Mum by saying they will stop the Interloper before she takes the gold. But Saraya cannot be satisfied and she says the Harlot dies tonight before screaming her way off the camera with the Dynasty in tow
Rating: C

We switch to the parking lot area when Jessicka Havok was just arriving to the venue. She tells the camera that she knows all about Serena Deeb. The world traveler, working for the top companies, has the superstar looks and the adulation of all the little boys and girls. And what does Jessicka Havok have? Death, is what Jessicka Havok has, and death is her gift for any unfortunate victim who crosses her path, and now the SHIMMER champion is in the crosshairs of the Havok Death Machine. Well at the end of the night, death won't be the only thing Jessicka Havok has. After she drags Serena Deeb into the depths and shows her just how far Havok is willing go, the lengths she will take, and Serena drowns under the pressure, Havok won't just have death, she will have the SHIMMER title
Rating: C

(3) Evie vs. Sassy Stephie
Stephie (4:31) via Kiss My Sass
#TeamKICK was a ball of fire and ready to go, sending Stephie running after a series of hard strikes, but once Stephie got her bearings, and stopped playing fair, she got control. Evie tried her best to overcome it but Mademoiselle Rachelle grabbing her foot when she ran the ropes was all the distraction Stephie needed, because after Evie lost her concentration, she turns right into a clothesline and then is felled by the Kiss My Sass
Rating: C-

We go to the back again where Shazza McKenzie and Jessie McKay are preparing for their matches with the Knight Dynasty, Shazza tells Jessie before they go out there they have to do something really important and Jessie asks what that could be. That's when Shazza whips out her cell phone, puts her arm around Jessie and takes an all-Aussie selfie. Now completely satisfied with herself Shazza does a war cry and heads to the ring, and Jessie goes back to stretching
Rating: C

We switch over to another location, where “Miss Natural” Heather Patera and her partner Melanie Cruise are gameplanning. Patera knows that their efforts are going to change minds and hearts and soon they will be rewarded with a SHIMMER tag title shot but she needs to get some action in first, so she's going to go for singles action tonight. Just then Courtney Rush saunters backwards into the frame then turns to face the duo. She almost chortles and says she doesn't believe Patera can do single anymore, now that she has found her...partner. Cruise starts to step up to Rush and Patera asks if Rush has a problem with Patera and Cruise finding someone that can stick by each other through thick and thin...
Through sickness and in health, until death do you part? Rush finishes for her. Patera looks offended until Rush pats her on the shoulder and tells her to chill out. Nobody in SHIMMER cares what she and her girl...friend do. This is a judgment-free zone. Good luck Rush says, as she saunters back out the way she came and Cruise crosses her arms. Beating her is going to feel so natural, Patera says, still steaming
Rating: C+

Rhia O'Reilly (with Nikki Storm) and Shazza McKenzie come out next, and Rhia does her usual flag waving best with the Irish flag, and Shazza, feeling left out, goes to the crowd and retrieves an Australian flag, and she begins a flag-off with Rhia until Nikki tries to get involved, which only gets her wrapped up in the Aussie flag and then spun into Rhia while Shazza parades around the ringside area
Rating: C-

(4) Rhia O'Reilly vs. Shazza McKenzie
Rhia (8:04) via Rhiadjustment
Shazza kept her foot on the pedal, trying to stay one step ahead of the Dynasty, but the two-on-one numbers game finally overwhelmed her and after a stiff forearm through the ropes from Storm, Rhia plants Shazza with the Rhiadjustment

After the match, Nikki Storm boisterously announces Rhia the winner and that the Knight Dynasty is going to lay waste to the Interlopers, tonight. BELIEVE.
Rating: C

Made in Sin are in the back trying to intimidate Dave Prazak. Taylor asks why is it that Made in Sin haven't gotten a fair shot at the SHIMMER Tag Titles, even though they have a sterling record in SHIMMER competition. Each time Prazak tries to explain to them that they haven't won since Volume Four and details their failures, Allysin Kay doesn't hesitate with excuses and qualifiers, mostly involving the Lucha Sisters.
Prazak decides then, that if Made in Sin feels like the Lucha Sisters are the problem then he's making the Lucha Sisters the solution. Made in Sin is facing the Lucha Sisters...in singles action, Prazak says to pop the heels' balloon. If they sweep their matches tonight, SHIMMER officials will have no reason not to give Made in Sin the match they want. So good luck he says as he leaves.
Taylor and AK ruminate on what Prazak said and how classless he really is as we go back to the ring
Rating: C

And in the ring we get Courtney Rush waiting in the ring for Heather Patera and her partner Melanie Cruise who come to the ring and Courtney Rush yells out how precious they look walking down the aisle together. Patera is infuriated and Rush slides out the ring as they get in and calls out asking where are they registered and gets the crowd to chant “Put-a-ringonit clap-clap-clapclapclap” until Cruise has to put the earmuffs back on Patera who is about to lose it
Rating: C

(5) Courtney Rush vs. “Miss Natural” Heather Patera
Miss Natural (5:51) via Natual Disaster
I really hope poking the bear was worth it because all it took was one shot on the outside from Melanie Cruise to change this from fun and games to a beatdown. And Patera was done being made a fool of
Rating: D

Patera and Cruise stand over the fallen Rush and Patera tells everyone that this is what happens when you mock her. You will take her, take them, seriously or you'll face the consequences
Rating: C-

We go to the back where the Kimber Bombs, Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb, are in the interview area. Kimber notes that in nine volumes this is the first time she's speaking to you because SHIMMER is full of crooked crooks who are keeping them down.
Cherry says that ends tonight because they're going to face one of the handpicked stars, Hamada, in a tag team match and show why she should stick to singles wrestling. Because a well-oiled unit like the Kimber Bombs
Will blow up in your face, Kimber adds the hook as we fade out...
Rating: C-

And go to the Lucha Sisters, Mia Yim and Leva Bates. Leva is pumped, Pumped, PUMPED to be SHIMMER Tag champion with her sister. They proved they are the best womens tag team in the world and the proof is around their waists
Mia loves the competition and she's so proud they work in a company where so many girls are trying their hardest to take what they've earned. It will keep them hungry and make them keep upping their game to stay one step ahead.
One step, and that's no joke? These guys, don't appreciate I'm broke? Leva chimes in and Mia just can't not laugh and hopes Made in Sin has made all their wishes, cause the Lucha Sisters' only wish is to beat them in the ring, fair and square
Rating: C+

(6) Hamada & Heidi Lovelace vs. Kimber Bombs - Kimber Lee & Cherry Bomb
Cherry (6:33) over Heidi via Kimber Bomb Blast
It was just as the Kimber Bombs said. Hamada was better than either of them and blew them out of the water one-on-one. Fortunately for them, this was two-on-two and Heidi Lovelace was no match for the unified team and she gets dropped by the Codebreaker/Release German Suplex combo
Rating: C-

We go to the back where a usually jovial Kellie Skater is nothing of the sort tonight. She was betrayed by someone close to her. Being from Australia, getting to be a wrestler is a dream come true but that dream comes at a price. She's not home, she isn't around family, and she has to sacrifice to be one of the best in the world. And when you're out there as much as someone like her is, you make new family in places you don't expect. Like she thought she did with Nakagawa, only to be betrayed. Well now the Rate Tank knows where she stands and who she can and cannot trust. And tonight, she puts the beating a lifetime on someone who broke her trust. You better believe that she's got this
Rating: C+

(7) Mia Yim vs. Allysin Kay
AK (13:52) via Cut-Throat Saito
Allysin Kay came out focused and motivated after her last outing with Hamada, and Dave Prazak's words, but Mia Yim is on a roll and feeling it so this one goes back and forth with huge momentum swings both ways. The match turns late, though, as the Lucha Sisters chose to go at this honorably, but Made in Sin through honor out the window, in exchange for class. In the form a Taylor Made spiked bra avalanche to the guard rail. The Cut-Throat Saito after the fact was perfunctory
Rating: C-

Made in Sin mug after the match saying one down, one to go
Rating: C+

We go to the back with The Canadian Ninjas wondering why they aren't on tonight's volume when The Originals, Allison Danger, Mercedes Martinez, and Cheerleader Melissa come to meet them. Danger tells the Ninjas they have the night off because they respect everything the Ninjas have done for SHIMMER, even if everyone else doesn't. After such a long and historic reign, they deserve to sit back and relax before they decide what they do next. Melissa chimes in saying before they make that decision on what to do next they would like to present the Ninjas with a proposition and an opportunity to join forces and create the strongest force in wrestling.
Just then everybody on camera jumps about a foot from a Scream out of nowhere, followed by the rising OI chant that accompanies MsEerie wherever they go. Von Eerie tells the Ninjas that they are terrible people, they lie and they cheat and they probably steal candy from babies (which Portia quite vigorously agrees to), but what they don't do is fall for snake oil salesmen. The Originals don't want to help you, they want to thin the competion out for their own goals
MsChif adds that they tried to break up MsEerie and failed so now they're moving on to their next victims, the Ninjas, and MsChif doesn't really care for them but they have proven that they are the best and those three don't like doing anything tough
Danger laughs at MsEerie and tells them to enjoy not getting a paycheck tonight cause they're not wrestling either. And for the Ninjas to consider what they said as the Originals leave
MsChif looks at the Ninjas and says if they fall for that, they're dumber than she thought, and the Ninjas just walk off with plenty to consider
Rating: C+

(8) Kellie Skater vs. Tomoka Nakagawa
Skater (10:39) via Disqualification
Kellie Skater absolutely took it to her former tag partner here and Nakagawa had to use every dirty trick in the book to stay in it but was just overrun by the Rate Tank. Desperately, Nakagawa took to her water bottle and Skater grabbed her before she could spit and shook her finger no. But Nakagawa broke free with a low kick and when the ref yelled at her what was she doing, she spit the water in the ref's face and that was enough to get him to throw the match out
Rating: C

Skater regains her bearings and tries to get her hands on Nakagawa, but the sneaky Joshi gets away and throws her hands up in a “who me?” type pose and laughs at Skater as she heads into the back as Skater fumes at her lost opportunity
Rating: C

We wipe cut back to the hard cam while Linkin Park's “Faint” starts. The crowd completely deflates, but only momentarily because the air going out is followed by the screeching of Nikki Storm who blows through the curtain as the vanguard ahead of Saraya Knight who quietly stomps to the ring with Rhia O'Reilly as her rearguard. Storm bellows that the Harlot dies now, it's over, kiss her goodbye. Nobody will have a favorite girlfriend when the Queen Mum is done with her
Rating: C+

The Veronicas' “4Ever” comes on next and Jessie McKay enters through the curtain next, trying to keep her energy up but feeling the pressure of being down three-on-one
Rating: B-

(9) Jessie McKay vs. Saraya Knight
McKay (9:16) via rollup
A lesser competitor than Everybody's Favorite Girlfriend would have wilted under the assault of the champions of light, but McKay's ability to take a beating and stay in the fight is almost peerless. And that ability unhinges Saraya until she has Nikki Storm get on the apron to grab McKay and goes to drill her but McKay slips free at the last possible moment and Saraya crashes into Storm, sending her flying. In the confusion McKay rolls Saraya up and is able to hold her down for the three count to get the shock victory
Rating: C

McKay tries to beat it to Dodge, but Rhia O'Reilly is there to cut her off and send her back into the ring, where Saraya and Nikki have gotten their bearings back. The trio starts to shove McKay around but just as they're about to pounce, Shazza McKenzie and Kellie Skater make the save, flushing the Knight Dynasty out of the ring. Saraya goes completely ballistic with the Aussies holding the ring together but Rhia is the voice of reason saying next time they'll get her
Rating: C+

We go to the back with Serena Deeb holding the SHIMMER title proudly on her shoulder. She's got quite the challenge standing in front of her: Jessicka Havok. The Havok Death Machine wants to square off with the Deebious One for the richest prize in womens wrestling. Serena could tell you that she's got more than a belt and she could run her mouth about what makes her a champion but she doesn't need to do her talking in the back, she does her talking under the bright lights in front of the packed crowds. Havok wants to challenge the Deebious one? Well she's got two words for you: Challenge Aceepted
Rating: C+

(10) Leva Bates (as Aladdin w/ Mia Yim as The Magic Carpet) vs. Taylor Made (w/ Allysin Kay)
Leva (7:46) via Superhero Kick
This time, there would be no getting away with the shenanigans as all the parties are here and accounted for, and try as Made in Sin might, they couldn't pull anything on the united Lucha Sisters and Leva took advantage of the ref being distracted with clearing out AK to balance on Mia's shoulders to launch herself off of her magic carpet into a missile dropkick, picks up her lamp and rubs it and wishes for a Superhero Kick, which she drills Slim Shady with, and gets the win
Rating: C-

We go to the back with Bryce Remsburg trying to chase down Tomoka Nakagawa to ask her why she did what she did to get DQ'ed tonight and Nakagawa simply stares him down then kicks him low (out of the frame of the camera so it could be his shin, though it's probably not) then spits water in his face before walking off. Bryce completely explodes saying he doesn't need this garbage anymore and he should get more respect for everything he's done for SHIMMER and he...he quits, as he drops the mic and walks out
Rating: C

(11) Madison Eagles vs. Mercedes Martinez & Cheerleader Melissa
Eagles (6:40) via Count-out
Maddie Eagles is no dummy. She knew she wasn't going to beat The Originals in a handicap match...without resorting to extraordinary measures. First she stole Mercedes Martinez' Doctor's License to check Melissa for Breast Cancer trying to incite either of them into a DQ. Then puled out a fork and got it into Mercedes' hand and dropped to the mat clutching her face, but the ref wasn't buying it. Then after getting worked over for a bit she came back with two raging Discus Eyepokes, which got The Originals to chase her around the ringside area. At the count of 8 she was able to drop toe hold Mercedes into the stairs and sidestep a lunging Melissa who went over the guardrail into the crowd, slip back in the ring at 9 and referee Andy Long counted out Mercedes and Melissa, giving the win to Eagles
Rating: C+

Maddie seaches out the ringside camera after her “triumph” and puts up ten fingers and says Volume Ten. Aussies. Rule. Wrestling. Then piefaces the camera and walks through the curtain
Rating: C+

(12) SHIMMER Title Match: Serena Deeb (c) vs. Jessicka Havok
Serena (20:37) via Spear
Havok is a strong competitor, and she's going to have titles in her future. But that future just isn't today as the new SHIMMER champion proves her worth, by taking the challenger into deep water and then drowning her under a torrent of forearms until she's softened up enough to be dropped by two Spears
Rating: C+

Serena stands tall on the turnbuckle holding up the belt and calling Eagles out telling her she knows where to find Deeb. In her ring. So come get her. She then flashes the SHIMMER belt again as the volume comes to a close
Rating: C+

Final Rating: C

Saturday Week 1 June
SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume Ten
Frontier Fieldhouse: Attendance – 1,507

SHIMMER Volume Ten opens with a video recap of the Serena/Havok main event from Volume Nine, with Serena hitting two spears to beat Havok
Rating: C+

We then switch to a darkened room, possibly a closet, where Jessicka Havok is standing angrily. She says she was close last time, but close is too far away. She has been weak and Serena took advantage of that weakness to survive the Havok Death Machine. But she is glad, because Serena Deeb taught her a valuable lesson and the rest of the SHIMMER roster is going to be the recipient of Havok's gratitude. Then, Havok will come after the SHIMMER title again, and next time there won't be a force in SHIMMER than can stop her
Rating: C

(1) Athena & Evie vs. Jessicka Havok & Sassy Stephie (w/ Mademoiselle Rachelle)
Havok (3:37) via Demon Drop on Evie
Havok allowed Stephie to start the match and Stephie couldn't get much traction against the more athletic #TeamKICKHussies, including Rachelle getting wiped out on an interference attempt, but once an agitated Havok tagged in, the young upstarts, stopped
Rating: C-

After the match, Havok blows up at Stephie and Rachelle telling them that she will not tolerate them bumbling up her matches anymore before leaving her partners in her dust
Rating: C+

We go to the back where Dave Prazak is standing with Tomoka Nakagawa and he asks her how she feels about being a part of the series of singles matches that will lead to a number one contenders' match on SHIMMER Volume Eleven. She looks coyly at the camera then leans into Prazak's ear to whisper something. Prazak answers his own question saying she's not concerned about it, she will win tonight and deal with whoever is next then.
Prazak then asks how she feels about Kellie Skater's matchup with Saraya Knight later tonight, considering their very public falling out. Nakagawa's face sours but she leans in again and whispers something, this time lingering on his ear after. Prazak looks at her shocked and asks her if she'll really do that and after Nakagawa nods he vigorously says that Kellie Skater's match with Saraya Knight will now have a special guest referee: Tomoka Nakagawa.
As he was saying this, Nakagawa was taking a sip of her water and as Prazak finishes, she spits it in his face, does a shoulder shrug and walks off while Prazak grins from ear to ear
Rating: C

Kellie Skater, Jessie McKay and Shazza McKenzie are in the locker room preparing for their matches and strategizing together. Skater states the obvious: The Knight Dynasty is gunning for them, and it doesn't matter why. They have to stand their ground and fight. Now they've had their turns at Saraya Knight, with some success and some failure, but tonight, Kellie Skater will put an end to it because she's got this
Jessie and Shazza don't look so convinced and say that there is more to it than this with Jessie pointing out that they've singled out Shazza since the very beginning and everything Saraya has done has been aimed at them all. Shazza then mentions that there's another Aussie in the locker room and that they might want to warn her too. The three girls all look at each other like they don't want that job with Jessie saying she and Shazza have already had to fight her so this one is all Kellie's
Skater says fine and goes over to Madison Eagles, with Jessie and Shazza behind her. Skater says they've been having some issues with the Knight Dynasty and she's not sure why but she thinks Saraya is targeting all of the Aussies, so Eagles might want to keep her guard up.
Eagles sure couldn't look down on her countrymates harder from six foot one inch perch and she tells the three of them that their fight doesn't matter to her because she has a date with destiny and it's time for her to show the world that she is the best female wrestler by beating Serena Deeb. Maybe if they fall in line behind her, she'll be able to make time out of her busy schedule then, but if not they can just go get their butts kicked and leave Madison Eagles out of it. Eagles then shoos the other Aussies away on a Starbucks run so she can get back to preparing for her title match
Rating: C

(2) Tomoka Nakagawa vs. Davina Rose
Nakagawa (5:31) via 120% Schoolgirl
This was a pretty straightforward affair. Davina got a few licks early but the wily Nakagawa used trickery to take the advantage and her blinding water spit to bring home the victory
Rating: C-

The Lucha Sisters, Mia Yim and Leva Bates, are talking about Leva's newest costume design when “Miss Natural” Heather Patera and Melanie Cruise come into the shot. Patera hopes that the little girls have fun with their little games because soon, a pair of real women take home the SHIMMER Tag Team Titles. Leva and Mia are about to assert their contention to Patera when in backwards saunters Courtney Rush.
Au Contraire, Au Naturel. That's French, you know? She directs to Patera & Cruise. Look I know you took it the wrong way when I was just trying to be friendly last time, but I'm seriously cool with you and your buddy there. I think what you two are doing is brave and everyone should look up to you for inspiration because what you guys are...I mean I get choked up thinking about it.
Cruise gets really agitated and asks Rush what she's talking about and she better choose her next words really carefully.
Rush nods in agreement and says she can't believe they wrestle as a tag team, as a partnership, and look so tacky. At least teams like the Ninjas and MsEerie and The Luchas dress alike, you guys have been together a while and you need to coordinate your wardrobes better. I could give you some tips, Rush says beyond proud of herself, while the Luchas hold back their laughter.
Patera says that is it. Rush is going to get the beating of her life tonight so she can go find whatever loser will team up with her because they are going to destroy her.
Rush looks pleased and says and I bet it will feel natural too. Au Revoir, Au Naturel, Rush says as she saunters backwards away and Patera shakes with rage
Rating: C

We go to the ring where the frontline of the Knight Dynasty is making a ruckus. Nikki Storm and O'Reilly come out to the ring with Storm hurtling insults at Jessie McKay, Shazza McKenzie, the entirety of Australia and anyone who even looks at her, as she proclaims that she and Rhia are going to bring glory to the Queen Mum by silencing the doubters and destroying everyone in their way
Rating: C

Out next are Shazza and Jessie who do their usual routines of high fiving the crowd before they get in the ring
Rating: C+

(3) Jessie McKay & Shazza McKenzie vs. Rhia O'Reilly & Nikki Storm
Rhia (7:08) via Rhiadjustment on Shazza
This was a very close match with the Aussies giving the Dynasty all they could handle. The match spilled into the ring though with all four girls brawling and Shazza hitting the Shazza Driver on Nikki and going for the pin but Andy Long catching that Storm wasn't the legal girl. The confusion gave Rhia enough time to dump McKay out of the ring slam into Shazza from behind and then knock her out with a Rhiadjustment
Rating: C-

After the match, Rhia and Nikki celebrate raucously, while McKay & Shazza gather themselves and demand another shot at the Knight Dynasty because this didn't prove anything. Before Rhia can't stop her, Nikki yells out any time, any place, we'll fight you again and smash your face. She chortles at her rhyme as she and Rhia vacate the ringside area
Rating: C+

We go to the back where Mercedes Martinez and Cheerleader Melissa, of The Originals, want to let us know that everything is going according to plan. Mercedes says they told us all once that The Originals don't need belts or titles to prove they are the dominant force in SHIMMER and even without the SHIMMER Title we all know it's true.
That doesn't mean they don't want it back, Melissa adds. That's why their good friend Allison Danger has set them up in two of the singles matches that will decide who is in the number one contenders match at Volume Eleven. Mercedes will get to take out Hamada, while little Veda Scott is going to get in the ring with The Future Legend. Which is to say that Nakagawa, Skater, Saraya, you're going to have to deal with The Originals at Volume Eleven and you better look both ways before you cross them
Rating: C+

We switch to another location, where MsEerie and the Canadian Ninjas are deep in an argument about...something? Maybe Von Eerie's mohawk, I don't know, but the argument is broken up by Allison Danger who tells everyone to cut it out. She doesn't care who started it and she doesn't care what it's about but she doesn't have time to deal with this.
MsChif and CVE are fine with that, they just want the Ninjas in the ring tonight, while Portia and Nicole want no part of that.
Danger agrees that putting together a tag match of that caliber needs time so tonight she's setting up a one-on-one match up between Nicole Matthews and Christina Von Eerie, with Portia facing MsChif at Volume Eleven. And if either MsEerie or the Ninjas interfere in either of those matches, then all four of them will be suspended indefinitely. Now deal with it, in the ring. Before she walks off, Danger addresses the Ninjas, adding oh, and The Originals will be watching things very closely, so do your best
Only then does Danger walk off, and CVE gives the Ninjas a good OI chant, driving the Ninjas away
Rating: C+

(4) “Miss Natural” Heather Patera & Melanie Cruise vs. Courtney Rush & Su Yung
Patera (4:53) via Natural Disaster on Su Yung
Courtney Rush did find herself a partner, in the inexperienced Su Yung, and while they made for quite the pairing, they weren't in the same class as Patera and Cruise who, quite disappointedly, can't finish off Rush but do take down Su Yung
Rating: C-

After the match, Patera & Cruise make their intentions know: They don't care if it's the Lucha Sisters or the Kimber Bombs, they're going to be taking the SHIMMER Tag Titles
Rating: C

We go to the back with Hamada for a short promo: Tonight she beat Mercedes, then she get SHIMMER title shot. Then she becomes the next SHIMMER champion
Rating: C+

We switch over to the Knight Dynasty: Saraya Knight with her charges, still fresh from their conquest of the Aussies earlier. Saraya looks happy and tells Nikki Storm to tell them why she's happy.
Nikki does as she's bid and says the Queen Mum is happy because the Gods are shining down on the champions of light.
Saraya looks to her other child and asks her what good fortune they have received, and Rhia points out that they have beaten back the interlopers and the Queen Mum has a chance to return the gold to the Dynasty.
Saraya's smile fades into a dark snarl. She says that all she has to do is punish that peddle-pusher that punches above her weight. The one that doesn't know what a real tank is. She plays games while the Queen Mum has truly been in wars. Saraya has bled, Saraya has suffered, Saraya almost lost her leg doing this, but she is still here and that's why she was gifted with The Sight. Because only a true champion can persevere through every trial, every calamity and grow true strength
STRENGTH – chimes in Nikki
Only a true champion can overcome all the obstacles and gain the wisdom that will carry you on
WISDOM – adds Rhia
And do you girls know what breeds strength and wisdom, and the girls answer dutifully:
FAITH
We have the faith in our Crusade, and we know that we will be rewarded for our faith. And the peddle-pusher will only be rewarded with pain, until she repents to the Knight Dynasty

(5) Nicole Matthews (w/ Portia Perez) vs. Christina Von Eerie (w/ MsChif)
Nicole (9:35) via Vancouver Maneuver
Although MsChif and Portia came out with their tag partners this one was played clean and straight, with the match hinging on the fact that Von Eerie couldn't trust that Portia wouldn't get involved, long enough to be distracted when she should've gone for the 138, got rolled up for a close 2 count, then was immediately transferred into the Vancouver Maneuver by Matthews to get the win
Rating: C

Not a second after the ring bell goes off, Portia jumps in the ring to go after CVE, and MsChif joins here, with the Ninjas & MsEerie brawling after the match until they fight their way right back up the curtain
Rating: C

We go to the back again, this time with Kellie Skater. She doesn't know what Saraya Knight's problem with them is, but she doesn't really care about that. Facing Saraya is a means to an end. There are two goals in front of her that she wants to accomplish. Busting Tomoka Nakagawa's face in, and getting a SHIMMER Title shot. And to get the latter, she might get to do the former. And all she has to do is beat Crazy Old Saraya Knight? Nobody in the history of man has ever got this, as much as Kellie Skater's got this, tonight
Rating: C

We switch over to another location, this time with Veda Scott. She's not nervous and she's not scared. Nor should she be. Ever since her partner Shazza McKenzie has obviously abandoned her, Veda has spent time pouring over her SHIMMER contract looking for just the opportunity to break out, and she has found it. She's not in this match with Cheerleader Melissa by accident. She knows Melissa is the former 2-time SHIMMER champion, she is the Future Legend, she is a true Original in this company, and in wrestling in general. But Veda Scott isn't just a wrestler. She was blinded by having fun but now it's time to grow up. It's time to show the world what Veda Scott is truly made of, and there's no better way to do that than to beat a former champion. It's not Melissa's time any more. It's...it's....
And Veda geeks out again, just like last time, before she stumbles away
Rating: C

(6) Mercedes Martinez vs. Hamada
Hamada (11:38) via Moonsault Press
This first time affair was a stiff one, with Hamada more than willing to go blow for blow with Mercedes, and Hamada's fighting spirit was able to carry the day and she brought it home with a huge moonsault to add her name to the pot for the number one contendership
Rating: C+

Hamada celebrates her victory and looks ready to go and win at Volume Eleven
Rating: A

Serena Deeb is in the back, clutching the SHIMMER Title on her shoulder while talking with Davina Rose about what went wrong for her tonight against Nakagawa and Davina can't believe that she fell for the water trick because that's what Nakagawa always does. Serena tells her not to worry about it and that she's going to be fine because win or lose tonight, Serena is going to team up with Davina at Volume Eleven and they're going to get her on the right track. Davina gives Serena a most grateful hug and tells her that she's not worried either because she knows that no matter how stacked the odds are against her, Serena is the kind of girl that will overcome it all and stay our champion.
Serena's brow furrows and she does point out that she's facing Madison Eagles for the first time in almost 3 years. The Originals are buzzing around, and there are forces none of them understand coalescing all at the same time. But none of that matters because The Deebious One is the best womens wrestler on the planet and to take that title from her you're going to have to pry it from her cold dead hands Serena says patting the SHIMMER Title on her shoulder
Rating: C

(7) Kellie Skater vs. Saraya Knight (W/ Special Guest Referee Tomoka Nakagawa)
Skater (6:47) via International Incident
This match was a complete farce, filled with illegal kicks downstairs on Skater, blatant rule breaking by Sweet Saraya going unpunished, super fast pin counts, and basically every card in the deck stacked against Skater. And yet she rallied, trying to push through it all to victory, only to be head kicked by the quite partial ref. Nakagawa then directs Saraya to hold Skater up so she can hit her with a water spit, but Skater moves at the last moment and it gets Saraya right in the eyes. Skater then knocks Nakagawa out of the ring and connects with the International Incident just as referee PJ Drummond is coming out from the back and he counts Saraya out as Skater moves on to the match at Volume Eleven
Rating: C

After the match Skater mocks an irate Nakagawa and tells her and the crowd that she's got this, making a belt motion around her waist and then doing Nakagawa's shoulder shrug
Rating: C+

(8) Cheerleader Melissa vs. Veda Scott
Melissa (8:42) via Air Raid Crash
Veda was game, probably way more than she had any right to be, but it's the 2-time former champ. It's The Original. It's the Future Legend. Come on
Rating: C+

We go to the back where Madison Eagles is all ready to compete. Tonight she gets one shot, 30 minutes, to beat Serena Deeb and become the SHIMMER Champion again. Eagles would say that is a challenge to accept but that is nothing. That is no challenge at all because she is the best, nobody has ever beaten her for that title when she was at full strength and nobody ever will, because
Aussies. Rule. Wrestling.
Rating: C+

(9) SHIMMER Tag Title Match: Lucha Sisters - Mia Yim & Leva Bates (As Katara and Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender, respectively) (c's) vs. Kimber Bombs - Kimber Lee & Cherry Bomb
Mia (11:43) via Package Piledriver/Superhero Kick combo on Cherry
This match didn't start off on the right foot as the first section of the match hinged entirely on the Kimber Bombs not having a clue what an Avatar is. After slowly explaining that this isn't the blue aliens from that movie, Leva and Mia go about demonstrating an Avatar's mastery of the Four Elements: With Leva tossing a cup of water in Kimber's face, dumping a packet of dirt (earth) on Cherry's head, blowing on Kimber to illustrate wind and Mia handing Leva a lighter to demonstrate fire. To which Kimber and Cherry lose it that the ref didn't check them properly for all of this illegal paraphernalia. The ref confiscates all the goods and the Kimbers take the advantage there. But the Avatar is meant to bring balance to the world, and Leva brought balance to the Kimber Bombs, Cherry specifically, with a Superhero Kick which led to Mia hitting the Package Piledriver, to win one for the good guys
Rating: C

Lucha Sisters celebrate their win and let us know they're going on to bigger and better things
Rating: C+

Before the main event we get a video recap of Madison Eagles' at journey to this SHIMMER Title match through Volume 9, highlighting her quick wins over Davina Rose and Veda Scott, her words with Allsion Danger, and her count out win over The Originals
Rating: C

(10) SHIMMER Title Match: Serena Deeb (c) vs. Madison Eagles
Draw (30:00?)
The first ten minutes of this match were all feeling out, as neither girl wanted toe commit to an early course of action that could lead to a loss. Madison makes the first move and takes advantage, knowing this is her only shot at the SHIMMER Title, she has to take the fight to Deeb eventually. And take the fight she does, as she works over Serena's head and shoulder and use both to control her. Serena tries to fight back but gets cut off repeatedly, only getting space when they knock noggins on dual cross body attempts. Serena gets a second wind and starts firing on Eagles, sending her reeling, until Saraya Knight makes an appearance, though her intentions aren't exactly clear. Serena doesn't care though and just unloads on her, sending her fleeing, and then gets back to going blow for blow with Eagles, who answers the call and the two wail on each with less than five minutes to go. The tide starts to swing to the Aussie and she hits her springboard moonsault, the Soaring Eagles, for a two count. She then drags Serena to the corner and gets her up and nails a Spider German Suplex but getting off the turnbuckle costs her as she can only get the two count again. She then gets Serena up on her shoulders to make an attempt at Hellbound but Serena fights free. She misses a Spear attempt and Eagles gets Serena up on her shoulders and hits Hellbound but the bell rings as PJ Drummond is making the three count.
Rating: C+

Eagles is heartbroken and there's massive confusion as the ring announcer never made the announcement for 1 minute remaining in the match. Prazak is convinced something fishy is going on but Danger says that the bell rung and that means the time limit expired. Eagles pleads with PJ Drummond for more time but he officially calls the match off as a time limit draw. We catch Saraya Knight smiling at Eagles from the entranceway, before leaving. Then, Cheerleader Melissa comes out and stares down a now stirring Serena. Serena doesn't stir for long as Eagles lays her back out with a clothesline and leaves the ring in great frustration while Melissa gets in the ring holding the SHIMMER Title and stands over Serena telling her she's on borrowed time as the Volume comes to a close

SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume Nine-Twelve Compilation Part Two

Saturday Week 1 July
SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume Eleven
Frontier Fieldhouse: Attendance – 1,506

SHIMMER Volume Eleven begins with Dave Prazak & Allison Danger announce tonight's main events: The SHIMMER Tag Title match between the Lucha Sisters and Heather Patera & Melanie Cruise, and the four-way match between Cheerleader Melissa, Kellie Skater, Tomoka Nakagawa, and Hamada for a SHIMMER Title shot
Rating: C

We then go to Dave Prazak with Sassy Stephie & Mademoiselle Rachelle for a promo. He asks if the tension between them and Jessicka Havok has calmed down any and Stephie is insulted at such insinuations. There is nothing wrong between them and she will go out there tonight and show there is no tension because when she wins her match and Havok wins hers, they will team up and take the SHIMMER Tag Titles from those undeserving children playing dress up
Rating: C+

(1) Sassy Stephie vs. Su Yung
Su Yung (4:52) via rollup
And all of that bravado lasted 5 minutes before Su Yung popped the bubble, frustrating Stephie and Rachelle by surviving through a dominating push from the heels, until they began to bicker with each other, which gave Yung the chance to roll up Stephie
Rating: D

We go to the back with Allison Danger and Made in Sin. Danger tells them that she was not a fan of them being left out of the last volume but wants to know if that is going to motivate them tonight.
Taylor Made is defiant: SHIMMER officials are classless morons and the reason they're here is because they know SHIMMER needs them. Without Made in Sin, the world around us all would fall apart.
Allysin Kay agrees with Tay Tay because the SHIMMER tag team ranks are filled with mediocrity, the most mediocre of all being the “champions”, the Lucha Sisters. A team that can't wrestle their way out of a wet paper bag, so they hide behind games and costumes, and trickery. Well Made in Sin doesn't need to hide behind anything because the AK-47 and Slim Shady are the personification of what tag team wrestling should be, and when they earn themselves a title shot, they will return class to tag team wrestling. Pinkies Up
Rating: C

(2) Made in Sin - Taylor Made & Allysin Kay vs. Athena & Evie
AK (5:49) via Eighth Deadly on Evie
Rating: C

With their point proven, Made in Sin lays down a challenge for whomever survives the main event with the SHIMMER Tag Titles
Rating: C

We go to the back again, where Allison Danger is trying valiantly to carry a joint interview with the Canadian Ninjas and MsEerie ahead of the Portia vs. MsChif match tonight. She lets them know that Nicole Matthews and Christina Von Eerie will be allowed at ringside but that like last time, both teams are expected to keep things clean. MsEerie just wants to beat the Ninjas in a tag match but the Ninjas quite fine with hiding out and not taking on that fight.
The tone of the proceedings change when Cheerleader Melissa and Mercedes Martinez corner MsEerie and tell them to beat it because they have some more business to discuss. MsEerie isn't interested in this so they tell the Ninjas they have their eye on them then leave. Melissa understands that Nicole will be in Portia's corner tonight but she is not signed for a match, and Mercedes Martinez is slated for tag action tonight. With The Future Legend busy with the formality of earning a SHIMMER Title shot, that leaves a space open for someone to pair up with an Original.
Mercedes jumps in and says that when they said the Ninjas are on their radar they meant it, and they want to prove it by giving Nicole Matthews the option of pairing up with Mercedes tonight in her match.
Nicole looks at Portia then shakes hands with The Originals and says she'd be more than willing to work with them. The Originals are very pleased and start to walk off with Nicole, with Portia tagging along, behind
Rating: C+

Jessie McKay and Shazza McKenzie are frantically searching around in the back until they finally find the Knight Dynasty sitting near a catering table. Nikki Storm steps up demanding to know what the two of them want.
McKay keeps it simple: they demanded a rematch and Nikki told them any time, any place. Well how about tonight at SHIMMER Volume Eleven?
Saraya Knight stands up and both Aussies step back defensively. The Trollop and the Tart want to take on the champions of light? She didn't know dirty little children had spines, but that will make it all the more fun for the Queen Mum to break them. They are lucky they put her in a good mood. She didn't even have to wait to be told how to destroy them. Since they did her the service of coming right to her she might give them five minutes before their inevitable destruction...if they can even manage to find someone else for them to kill. Saraya then tells them to say their prayers and walks away with Nikki telling them to repent instead, and the Aussies trying to figure out if they bit off more than they can chew or not
Rating: C

(3) Jessicka Havok vs. Courtney Rush
Havok (3:37) via Demon Drop
The Havok Death Machine certainly lived up to her name here
Rating: C-

After the match, she directs her ire at Stephie and Rachelle telling them that is how you handle your business
Rating: C+

Serena Deeb & Davina Rose are in the back with Davina profusely thanking Serena for taking time out to tag with her.
Serena tells that of course she doesn't have a problem with it, especially since she's got no challenger for the SHIMMER Title tonight, there's nothing she'd rather do than team up with on of her favorite girls against a strong team like the Kimber Bombs
Davina pumps herself up and knows that with Serena's skills and her energy they can run those girls up and down this place and when they get their hands on them, they'll make sure they're all hugged out.
Hugged. Because they like to hug a lot
Serena agrees that she gets what Davina is talking about and gets a huge squeeze from Davina saying that's what she loves most about Serena. All Serena can do is pat Davina on the head and tell her she knows
Rating: C

We switch back to Jessie McKay and Shazza McKenzie trying to find themselves a third partner for their match with the Knight Dynasty. Shazza says she knows who they can go to and they approach Veda Scott.
When Shazza brings up their situation, Veda is less than sympathetic. She hasn't teamed up with Shazza since Volume Seven, when they lost their SHIMMER Tag Title match, and she hadn't heard one word out of Shazza. Now, that SHE needs something, she deigns it worth her time to beg Veda for help? Well the beating she's about to take couldn't have happened to a stupider girl, and McKay is not Everybody's Favorite Girlfriend: that is a claim that certainly wouldn't hold up in Veda's arena...and it won't hold up in Saraya Knight's either. She'd wish them luck, but she simply doesn't care because she has her own match to worry about.
Shazza has no idea what to say when Veda walks off but she does ask Jessie if she has any good ideas now
Rating: C

(4) Portia Perez vs. MsChif
MsChif (10:05) via Desecrator
Portia Perez stooging to MsChif and trying to hide behind Nicole Matthews and cause a ruckus is all the good times. Referee Andy Long not taking any of her shenanigans and trying to force her to fight, better times. Portia trying valiantly to fight off MsChif, but dying in the end? That's everything we could want
Rating: C

The foursome can't stop bickering after the match, which brings out Dave Prazak to announce that we will finally have a Ninjas/MsEerie tag match. At SHIMMER Volume Twelve. The Ninjas are not pleased about this but MsEerie is glad to finally get their hands on the former SHIMMER Tag champs
Rating: C

Shazza and Jessie are still roaming around in the back trying to figure out what they are going to do, when Jessie spies Madison Eagles and decides they have nothing to lose. She goes up to Eagles and before she can get a word out Eagles says no. She absolutely does not want to hear one word out of them. She's supposed to be SHIMMER Champion right now. RIGHT now. And Serena Deeb still has the belt. And now, she can never again challenge for the SHIMMER Title again. She has nothing, and they have got the nerve to walk up to her ready to demand anything? Well Madison Eagles demands satisfaction for being robbed of what should be hers. How can Aussies rule wrestling if she cannot rule SHIMMER?
Shazza tells her if they can get past Saraya and the Knight Dynasty there's no reason why one of them can't rule wrestling, she says pointing to her and Jessie.
You...rule wrestling? You? You, rule wrestling? Madison looks aghast and chases off Jessie & Shazza in exasperation
Rating: C

(5) Serena Deeb & Davina Rose vs. Kimber Bombs - Kimber Lee & Cherry Bomb
Serena (7:52) via Hug Medley on Kimber
Another solid showing for the Kimbers, and they may put it together soon, but the SHIMMER Champ led her charge to be better than she is and she hit a Standing Girl Hug on Kimber Lee which led right into a Spear from Serena to get the win
Rating: C

Serena & Davina celebrate their victory with far more pleasant hugs, and high fives for the fans
Rating: C

Allison Danger is in the back with Melanie Cruise and “Miss Natural” Heather Patera and she asks how they are feeling going into their challenge of the SHIMMER Tag Champions.
Melanie Cruise actually says that there's no doubt in their mind that by the end of the night you won't be calling them challengers anymore. You'll be calling them--
Au Naturel, says Winningpeg's finest, as Courtney Rush saunters into the scene backwards. She really likes Patera and Cruise. Some people might not believe in them, she says looking at Danger, but she really does and having been in the ring with them she knows they have what it takes to win tonight.
Everyone is stunned but Patera comes to her senses enough to ask Rush what her angle is because there's no way she has just come around to their way of thinking.
Rush says that's not true at all and she is now sympathetic to their cause and she believes that if they win tonight it will be a great step forward for everyone. She then offers a hand out to Patera who doesn't know what else to do but shake Rush's hand.
Then when she takes her hand back Rush says everyone like them, and saunters off the screen, leaving Patera and Cruise stunned and asking if she said what they think she said
Rating: C

Jessicka Havok is in the back with Sassy Stephie and Mademoiselle Rachelle and she is not happy. They let her down again, and she is not impressed. If they want to stay on the right side of the Havok Death Machine, the two of them better get their acts together. Because they do not want her to have to get involved. Stephie and Rachelle look at each other quite disturbed as Havok stomps off into the night
Rating: C+

(6) Heidi Lovelace & Veda Scott vs. Mercedes Martinez & Nicole Matthews
Nicole (7:25) via Vancouver Maneuver on Veda
Veda gave it her all and her working with Heidi was a revelation, but as hard as they fought, there was no question about how this one was going to end, with Nicole taking matters into her own hands
Rating: C-

After the match, Mercedes looked impressed and says it's been a pleasure working with Nicole and she hopes she can do it again soon. She pats Matthews on the back and heads out as Veda looks upset that Nicole is getting the love
Rating: C+

Dave Prazak is with Kellie Skater but before he even begins the promo he tells Skater that he's got someone who has something to say to her and in comes Tomoka Nakagawa. She whispers in Prazak's ear and he tells Skater that she might as well just not show up tonight because she will not be the number one contender.
Skater says she's not concerned about Nakagawa but if she gets in her way she'll make a ruckus, a fuss, an incident...of international proportions. But she should know better because Skater's got this.
Nakagawa says that Skater will get this and spits water in Prazak's face and he starts to smile till he gets kicked low and he doubles over and the two girls stare each other down
Rating: C

The Knight Dynasty comes out for their six woman tag and Nikki Storm is screeching up a figurative storm that tonight is the night that their Crusade ends. They get in the ring and Saraya Knight tells everyone that tonight is the night that the champions of light are rewarded for all of their hard work. They've heard the voices and answered their call to put an end to the uprising the little ungrateful Interlopers want to bring to the kingdom. The Knight Dynasty will not allow them to take their prize and that's why they made sure that they never will. Saraya points to Rhia O'Reilly who holds up something over a velvet cover and she pulls the cover back to show a hammer for ringing the timekeeper's bell. The crowd gasps and Saraya says they will simply crush these two and it will finally be over
Rating: C

Jessie McKay and Shazza McKenzie come out alone and look reasonably petrified that they are going to deal with the Knight Dynasty then the crowd gasps and loses it when

begins playing and out comes Madison Eagles, now fired up and ready to kick heads
Rating: C+

(7) Jessie McKay, Shazza McKenzie & Madison Eagles vs. Knight Dynasty - Saraya Knight, Rhia O'Reilly & Nikki Storm
Eagles (12:49) via Hellbound on Nikki
We've seen this dance before, but the game changes with a motivated Madison Eagles leading the Aussies and Shazza & Jessie hold off Rhia and Saraya long enough for Madison Eagles to take down the Highlander
Rating: C

We go to the back with Dave Prazak who has the Lucha Sisters with him. He wants to ask them if they're starting to feel the pressure of having the titles, feeling the weight of expectations, and getting everyone's best shot every time out.
Leva admits it's probably a bit different for them. They know people don't look at them and think of champions. They like to have fun, they don't take things too seriously and sometimes that can be mistaken as not being worthy.
Mia agrees and says all they can do is go out there every night and just be who they are, and the people will come around behind them when they see their fire and desire and their will to keep getting better and take on all challengers. So they're going to give 100% tonight against one tough opponent, and if they succeed, they'll be more than willing to see what Made in Sin has got. When you're Lucha Strong, you don't run from challenges, you take them head-on and overcome them
Rating: C

(8) Cheerleader Melissa vs. Kellie Skater vs. Hamada vs. Tomoka Nakagawa
Melissa (13:51) over Skater via Air Raid Crash
All four competitors prove themselves worthy of their spot in this match and of a title shot, but only one can win this match and after Hamada is isolated and taken out, Skater makes a desperate push to get this before she's overwhelmed, and she takes it to Melissa. Melissa can't keep up with the Rate Tank and after a head kick is put in position for the International Incident, but just then Nakagawa loads up her water cannon and spits right into Skater's face before kicking Skater and then leaves, letting Melissa pick up the scraps and bring it home with the Air Raid Crash
Rating: C+

Melissa celebrates her win and makes it clear that Serena is done and The Originals take back what is theirs
Rating: C+

(9) SHIMMER Tag Title Match: Lucha Sisters - Leva Bates (as Green Arrow) & Mia Yim vs. "Miss Natural" Heather Patera & Melanie Cruise
Mia (15:57) via Superhero Kick/Package Piledriver Combo on Miss Natural
The crowd sure took to Leva starting the match with her bow and arrow and whistling and cat-calling the team of Patera and Cruise like they were Cupid's arrows, much to Patera's consternation. Thus she sticks Cruise on both Leva and Mia, and she dominates long stretches of the match but as she wears down the Sisters are able to take advantage, and once they can neutralize Cruise and isolate Patera, they are able to bring it home
Rating: C-

The Lucha sisters hold up their belts in celebration as the SHIMMER volume comes to a close
Rating: B-

Or so we thought, until we switch to the Knight Dynasty looking irate. Saraya is staring with clear eyes and she says that what happened tonight wasn't their fault. There was no warning, no way to know that this could've happened. But the Dynasty will not be deterred, and the Dynasty will not wait to be pushed again. No they will push back against all the forces coalescing against them There's only one way they can bring their full power down on those that stand against them: The Dynasty and The Interlopers shall battle until only one side is left and all the others are eliminated. That is the only way the Dynasty can end this, and they will end the so-called Aussie Rules

Saturday Week 1 August
SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume Twelve
Frontier Fieldhouse: Attendance – 1,577

(1) Shanna vs. Evie
Evie (4:50) via TTYL
In a match of competitors looking to find their way, New Zealand outdoes Portugal, thanks to Evie's Fireman's Carry into a shin kick finisher
Rating: D

Evie happily celebrates her first one-on-one win in SHIMMER
Rating: C+

We go to the back where Dave Prazak is with the Wrestling Goddess Athena. He asks her how she's feeling going into her singles match tonight against Kimber Lee, and if she thinks that her partnership with Evie is taking them both to a new level.
Athena admits it's been a hard transition for her. She was a star on the rise in SHIMMER but then the level of competition stepped up and she has to find her way all over again. But She's not afraid of competition because all that means is that there are a bunch of uppity hussies out there that need to get busted. And there's nothing she does quite as well as hussy busting
Rating: C

We switch over to Made in Sin who have a short and sweet message: Tonight they end the farce that is the SHIMMER Tag Title reign of Leva Bates and Mia Yim. They're not Luchadores, they're not sisters, and they don't have class. Made in Sin are the best tag team in professional wrestling and tonight, they prove it without a shadow of a doubt
Rating: C

Allison Danger is in the back with Jessicka Havok, Sassy Stephie, and Mademoiselle Rachelle and she asks the trio if there is any truth to the rumors of dissension within their ranks...
Or she would ask that question if Havok didn't cut her off. She addresses Stephie and Rachelle, rather than the audience, when she says there is no dissension within their group. Some people just need a lesson on how to handle their business. Havok then turns to the camera to say there are some people that need a rude awakening about what happens when you piss off a Death Machine. She hopes that Su Yung is fully prepared because if she isn't, there won't be anything left of her after the Havok Death Machine runs her over. Though if they face the truth, there won't be anything left of her anyway. She then makes it clear that Stephie and Rachelle will have front row seats to see her handle their business
Rating: C+

(2) Athena vs. Kimber Lee
Athena (3:37) via O-Face
Athena follows suit like her partner, getting a resounding victory with her top-rope diving, corkscrew Stunner
Rating: D

We join Serena Deeb in the back, standing over Davina Rose, helping her stretch. Serena tells Davina that they both have very important matches tonight, as Davina tries to really re-establish herself on the pecking order here in SHIMMER.
Davina gets up and looks gratefully at Serena but asks why she's putting so much effort into making sure that she is ready to go, when she is the SHIMMER Champion and should be focusing on defending that title from every challenger that comes after her.
Serena pats Davina on the shoulder and tells her that she is supremely focused. She is the one that ended the reign of Cheerleader Melissa, but it's not just having the SHIMMER Title that makes her the best. The Originals like talking about people owing them respect, but Serena believes in EARNING respect, the right way: By giving back to the other girls in the back and lifting everyone up with her, not just holding everyone down. And if Davina does her work, one day it'll be Serena Deeb vs. Davina Rose for the SHIMMER Title.
Davina gets all fired up and hugs Serena and tells her she is going to do her part so that they can main event SHIMMER together. Serena sends her charge off to battle and looks proudly before she follows
Rating: C

We switch to Allison Danger who is in the back with Melanie Cruise & “Miss Natural” Heather Patera. Before they begin, Patera makes sure that Courtney Rush hasn't been seen around lately to which Danger confirms and then asks why it's Cruise taking on Rush tonight. Patera tries to explain that she's feeling too much pressure from all of this and can't take any more of this before she gets snuck up on from behind and poked in her sides as Courtney Rush yells out “BOO”
Patera jumps, though Cruise simply walks between her and Rush and tells her that enough is enough and if she wants to keep harassing her partner then she's going to deal with Cruise.
Rush comes fully into the frame and says that's fine because she wants to see what Cruise has got anyway, but she didn't want Patera to feel left out. She brought someone to play with “Miss Natural” and in walks Hamada.
Patera looks quite perturbed and asks Danger if Rush can do this, and Danger says it's been agreed upon by SHIMMER officials. Patera gets an idea and says that if Cruise beats Rush and she beats Hamada this ends and Rush goes away and never bothers her again.
Rush thinks about it, quite dramatically then spits on her hand and puts it out for Patera to shake in agreement. Patera hesitates but Rush grabs her hand and forces it onto her spit hand and they shake. Rush and Hamada leaves and Cruise doesn't know how to console Patera because earmuffs won't do it

(3) Jessicka Havok (w/ Sassy Stephie and Mademoiselle Rachelle) vs. Su Yung
Havok (2:26) via Demon Drop
Su Yung vs. Jessicka Havok is all the mismatch you could imagine
Rating: C-

After the match, Havok stands over Su Yung, making sure that Stephie and Rachelle got all of that so that she won't have to deal with incompetence again
Rating: C

We go to the back where Mercedes Martinez and Cheerleader Melissa are strategizing for tonight, when Veda Scott walks in on them. She apologizes profusely for intruding but she wants to speak with them candidly. Most of the girls in the back are idiots with their heads stuck in the clouds and they can't even fathom how incredible it is that SHIMMER Originals like them are still at the top of the game and have so much knowledge to impart on someone that wants to learn. Veda Scott is someone that wants to learn, wants to get better, wants to be the kind of champion they are, but she knows they don't take her seriously. Not yet, but she wants one more chance to earn their respect, in the ring, and prove that she's not what they think of her. She looks at Mercedes and begs her to meet her in the ring tonight.
Melissa says its fine, they can finish up their strategy session for Serena later, and Mercedes says she'll take her up on that deal, even though there's no way, NO WAY, Veda Scott can last 5 minutes with an Original, let alone beat one.
Veda looks defiant and says she'll show Mercedes she's wrong and she'll show them what time it is. Then Veda walks off as Melissa asks Mercedes if she's for real
Rating: C

We switch to Dave Prazak who is in the back with Cherry Bomb. He brings up that this is a rare chance for Cherry to go out there on her own in one-on-one action and get a huge win over a SHIMMER veteran.
Cherry laughs and says that Davina isn't a SHIMMER veteran. She's a reject. She couldn't make it in SHIMMER. She couldn't make it in the WWE. And she won't make it now. And she won't make a name on Cherry Bomb tonight. Tonight, Cherry Bomb blows up
Rating: C-

(4) Davina Rose vs. Cherry Bomb
Cherry (6:29) via Codebreaker
Davina Rose's attempt to climb the SHIMMER ladder is going to have to start over from scratch as Cherry Bomb pulls out the win here
Rating: C-

We go to Dave Prazak who is in the back with MsEerie, MsChif and Christina Von Eerie. He recaps their issues with the Canadian Ninjas lately and that they'll come to a head tonight in tag action.
MsChif says they don't really have a problem with the Ninjas. Sure they're arrogant, egotistical numbskulls, but they have always been that. What has them upset is that they're also great wrestlers and they're letting themselves be seduced by the call of The Originals.
Von Eerie agrees and reminds everyone that The Originals tried to destroy them, but you can't bring misery upon MsEerie. And if they have to knock the Ninjas heads together to knock some sense into them, well that is just what they are going to have to do.
Rating: C

We switch to another location in the back where Madison Eagles, Jessie McKay, Shazza McKenzie, and Kellie Skater are together preparing for their SHIMvivor Series match tonight. Everyone is talking over themselves until Eagles hushes the group and tells them as their leader she is going to tell them the gameplan. Shazza tries to argue about Eagles being captain, but Eagles simply asks who has been SHIMMER Champion here, and if they really have a problem with it who is going to tell her otherwise. When everyone settles down, Eagles says Nakagawa is all hers, she's got her. Skater looks pleased.
Shazza and Jessie, they are to run interference and make sure the Irish and the Scot are neutralized. They accept that job wholeheartedly because that means that Madison Eagles, and Madison Eagles alone, gets to get her hands on Saraya Knight. And when tonight is over she's going to prove to Saraya Knight, and everybody with a set of eyeballs in their head that
Aussies. Rule. Wrestling.
Shazza then screams out an excited YEAH, and Madison says when she says Aussies rule wrestling it's over. Skater jumps in and says it should be okay though because Shazza knows they've got this and they're going to win tonight. Shazza and Kellie begin to bicker about what Shazza meant and Maddie just facepalms, until Jessie pats her shoulder and holds up a fresh container of Starbucks. Maddie smiles and tells Jessie that she always was her favorite and they walk away, as Kellie and Shazza only stop bickering when they realize they're alone and chase after the others
Rating: C

(5) Melanie Cruise vs. Courtney Rush
Cruise (8:36) via Cruise Missile
Rusher tried to drag Cruise out of her comfort area, and play mind games with her, to offset the power gap, but Rush could drag it out as long as she wanted. Rush would have to get close to Cruise and once Cruise got her hands on Rush, it was over
Rating: C-

Cruise celebrates over Rush after the match and tells her to stay away from Patera. If she doesn't she's in for much more pain and punishment
Rating: C+

Allison Danger is with the Canadian Ninjas and she tells them to just ignore those idiots, MsEerie. They looked a gift horse in the mouth, both of them, but she's known the Ninjas a long time, and even though it hasn't always been...a pleasant relationship (Danger says looking darkly at Portia), she and the other Originals know that at the end of the day they've always respected each other, even when they hated each other. So just past this little speed bump so that they can combine forces and bring SHIMMER to its knees.
Portia almost laughs and says she's never liked Allison Danger, hell she hated her guts, but Danger has never made more sense. They shake hands and Matthews says they'll be back after they deal with MsEerie.
Danger then wipes her hand off and glares where the Ninjas walked off to
Rating: C+

Before the next match we get a video recap of volumes 10 and 11 for Veda, where she gave Melissa a fight before falling, and she and Heidi Lovelace lost to Mercedes teaming with Nicole Matthews
Rating: C

(6) Veda Scott vs. Mercedes Martinez
Mercedes (5:58) via Fisherman's Buster
Try as Mercedes might, Veda did make it 5 minutes, but she was never a real threat to win this match. Although Veda fought it as hard as she could, Mercedes got her up and knocked her out with the Fisherman's Buster to get the win.
Rating: C-

After the match, Veda crawls towards the departing Mercedes saying she made it 5 minutes. She did what Mercedes said she couldn't. She just needs one more chance to show them what she can do. Mercedes pulls Veda up on her feet and looks like she's going to smash her, but she just pats Veda on both shoulders and tells her she's alright. Veda crumples, sitting in the ring as Mercedes leaves and then she cackles hard, before getting up and beaming that Mercedes acknowledged her

We head to the back where the Knight Dynasty is in the interview area with Tomoka Nakagawa, who is cozying up to Dave Prazak. Prazak starts to ask if their team is ready for the challenge of the Aussies, but before he can finish Nakagawa starts whispering in his ear and as Saraya glowers. Prazak apologizes and gets a big shot of water in the face and a shove off the interview area by Nikki and Rhia as Saraya takes the microphone
The Knight Dynasty ends things tonight. The Gods have seen fit to give us an ally that sees through the lies, the same way we do, to go into battle with and there will be no surprises, no shortcuts those who have wronged us can take that we won't see coming. We have been shown the way through the trials and we will not be deterred any longer. Tonight, the Knight Dynasty puts all the wayward children in their place. Tonight, the Knight Dynasty unleashes Divine retribution on every force that has conspired against it. And tomorrow, we return the gold and silver into the possession of the champions of light. From here on out girls, the Gods shine brightly upon our Dynasty
Rating: C+

(7) MsEerie - MsChif & Christina Von Eerie vs. Canadian Ninjas - Nicole Matthews & Portia Perez
MsChif (8:51) via Desecrator on Portia
All the tension the last four volumes have built up finally blow over and these four go nuts on each other, but the Ninjas just can't seem to stay on the same page throughout the match, including at the end where Portia goes for a tag in an empty corner as Matthews is busy engaging Von Eerie. This leaves Portia exposed and MsChif doesn't miss, nailing her with the Desecrator
Rating: C

(8) Hamada vs. "Miss Natural" Heather Patera
Hamada (7:49) via AP Cross
You would think that with the opportunity to put Courtney Rush out of her life, Miss Natural would be focused on the task at hand, but every time she gets the advantage, she looks around expecting Rush to mess things up for her, but all those moments do is add up, giving Hamada enough time to get herself together and when she gets going, she blows Patera right out of the water, finishing her with the AP Cross
Rating: C

We go to the back with Dave Prazak who asks the Lucha Sisters for comments about Made in Sin downplaying their title reign.
Mia says none of what anyone says is going to affect them. They just want to entertain the best fans in wrestling, give their all, and keep these SHIMMER Tag Titles in the Lucha Family for as long as they can.
Leva says that's right because what everyone seems to forget is that nothing is guaranteed. The Canadian Ninjas said they'd be the champions forever. 3G was the tag team everyone thought would unseat them. Lots of people have opinions on who the best tag team in SHIMMER is. But until someone takes these belts away from them it's nothing but talk. And they're done talking. They're women of action. So come at the queens, but you best not miss
Rating: C

Before the next match, we get a video recap of last volume's 6 woman tag match between the Knight Dynasty and what is being dubbed Aussie Rules Wrestling
Rating: C+

(9) SHIMvivor Series Match: Aussie Rules Wrestling - Madison Eagles, Jessie McKay, Shazza McKenzie & Kellie Skater vs. Tomoka Nakagawa & Knight Dynasty - Saraya Knight, Rhia O'Reilly & Nikki Storm
Saraya (14:52) last elimination: Skater
The match starts off well for the Aussies as they eliminate Rhia O'Reilly via Hellbound, and Tomoka Nakagawa who tried to water spit Skater but missed and led to her taking the Boyfriend Stealer. Even though Saraya Knight was able to eliminate Shazza McKenzie, the match was still in the Aussies control until it turned irrevocably, mid-way through. Nikki Storm got Eagles in the Eye of the Storm. Eagles was able to use her long legs to get to the ropes and force the ref to break the hold but Storm refuses even after the 5 count and gets herself disqualified. She continues to hold the hold in place until Jessie and Kellie storm the ring to get Storm off of Eagles, during the ensuing mayhem, nobody sees Saraya hit Eagles with a foreign object then pin her. An angry, but distracted McKay falls soon after that, and after a short struggle, O'Reilly and Storm cause enough distraction to allow Nakagawa to connect with a water shot this time and Saraya locks her in the Bridal Rocking Horse until Skater has to tap out, and Saraya Knight wins, eliminating the entire Aussie team
Rating: C

The Knight Dynasty take the ring in celebration, but as the Aussies collect the downed Skater, Madison Eagles makes things very clear: This isn't over yet and next time, they play by Aussie Rules
Rating: C+

Before the SHIMMER Tag Title match we get a video recap of Volume Nine singles matches between the Luchas and Made in Sin
Rating: C

(10) SHIMMER Tag Title Match: Lucha Sisters - Leva Bates (as Omar Little from The Wire) & Mia Yim (c's) vs. Made in Sin - Taylor Made & Allysin Kay
Leva (12:53) via Superhero Kick/Package Piledriver combo on Taylor
Come at the SHIMMER Tag champs, Made in Sin did, but their class isn't enough to carry the day as Mia Yim and the gangster from Baltimore hold them off and take it home
Rating: C

Before the main event we get a video recap of the Volume Eight match between Serena and Melissa
Rating: C+

(11) SHIMMER Title Match: Serena Deeb (c) vs. Cheerleader Melissa
Serena (20:42) via Spear
Melissa came into this match full of desperation to get her title back, but it made her sloppy and take risks that aren't becoming of the Future Legend. And a careless wrestler isn't going to take down the Deebious One, who weathers the storms and then plants Melissa with a Spear in the middle of the ring to retain her title

Serena celebrates her victory holding the SHIMMER Title up proudly as Volume Twelve comes to a close

Yeah, Greg has been neglectful of his SHIMMER girl picture duties.

For shame

Saturday Week 1 November
SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume Fifteen
Frontier Fieldhouse: Attendance – 1,732

Before we go to the action of the show, we have a camera following Veda Scott and Heidi Lovelace as they come upon “Miss Natural” Heather Patera and Melanie Cruise, discussing things for Cruise's SHIMMER Title match against Serena Deeb tonight. After confirming Patera's identity, Veda has Lovelace serve Patera with a summons for a match tonight, a tag match. Veda then says that it's time that they put an end to all of this, motioning towards Patera and Cruise. It's time...they end this. It's...time...she says as Heidi tells Patera to get her affairs in order as she takes Veda away before she pops
Rating: C

(1) Hamada & Athena vs. Kimber Bombs - Kimber Lee & Cherry Bomb
Athena (10:01) via O-Face on Kimber
This was a fierce opener, with the Kimbers using their tactical experience as a team to stand toe-to-toe with the athletic advantages of Hamada and Athena. And while the Kimbers were able to be effective on Hamada for a time, young Athena was able to get the ball rolling and Kimber Lee sure had one hell of an O-Face delivered to her
Rating: C-

We go to the back where Serena Deeb is warming up with Davina Rose, preparing for her SHIMMER Title match tonight, when all three members of The Originals surround them. Serena asks if they didn't get the message last volume, that she's got no business left with them, or are they just that slow.
Mercedes begs to disagree, that not only is Serena not done with them but not by a long shot. But more importantly, if Serena is busy that means The Originals need something to do tonight. And Mercedes wouldn't mind having herself a match with Serena's little buddy Davina Rose.
Allison Danger reminds them that while Davina was busy selling out and leaving SHIMMER behind, Mercedes has been honing her craft and proving she is still one of the very best in the business, as Serena has found out first hand already. But Serena doesn't want anything to do with The Originals now, so now it's time to pick on someone else.
Melissa smiles and pats Serena's SHIMMER title and hopes Serena retains her belt tonight because she wants to be there to see the look on Serena's face just before she's out on her back, staring at the lights wondering how it all went so wrong. And then she'll her Melissa's voice in her head telling her this is what happens when you cross The Originals.
The trio then leave Serena and Davina, with Serena now trying to focus Davina for her challenge coming up tonight
Rating: C+

(2) Veda Scott & Heidi Lovelace vs. “Miss Natural” Heather Patera & Courtney Rush
Heidi (5:47) via Lovelace Choker on Rush
Miss Natural was able to call upon her new friend Courtney Rush to come to her aid, but Veda and Heidi are a strong team, now that they are under the influence of The Originals and they are able to keep Patera at bay and pick apart Rush, with Heidi getting the win with her her adopted homage to Allison Danger
Rating: C-

We head to the back where the aforementioned Allison Danger is now with Made in Sin, Taylor Made and Allysin Kay. She tells the duo that she expects them to go out there and put MsChif to pasture tonight so they can be next in line to wipe out the Lucha Sisters, if they happen to survive tonight.
Allysin Kay is not interested in Danger's little vendettas. Made in Sin has their own beef with the authority figures in SHIMMER, considering how they haven't been in contention for the SHIMMER Tag Titles and Tay Tay has been left off of shows. She doesn't even understand how messed up it is that they have denied Slim Shady her right to be on the show.
Taylor hugs AK and tells her it's okay. She's mad about it too but that's not how they deal with things. They don't do outbursts and cry and whine about things because they're classier than that. And Danger, Made in Sin isn't here to do her or anyone's dirty work for them. They are in business for themselves, so if it is in Made in Sin's best interests, sure they'll beat up Leva and Mia alright. But it won't be for her, unless she's ready to throw pinkies up.
Danger just barely politely declines, and Taylor says if that's the case they have nothing left to say so this interview is over, and the duo walks off

We go to another location where the Knight Dynasty is standing proud and true. The Queen Mum is hearing whispers while Rhia O'Reilly stands beside Saraya's shoulder pretending to whisper to her. Nikki Storm smiles and Saraya asks what's so funny. Nikki replies that Saraya ALWAYS hears whispers. Don't be smart with your Mum, Saraya says with a swat as Nikki gets back in line.
Saraya says she hears whispers that the Dynasty is weak. That they have let their failures envelope them, and they have lost their way. She sees the looks on people's faces, and there's something missing. She doesn't see respect, awe, fear. Saraya Knight doesn't like this. We have been doing something wrong if people are looking at us as anything except something to be avoided. Girls, we have gotten too caught up in winning and losing, and that's not what we're here to do is it?
No, Mum, the girls answer dutifully in unison.
No, we aren't here to win. We are here to make the people who don't see our vision suffer, until they step into our warm light and repent their evil ways. Now we make the Interlopers repent, once and for all. We close their eyes, so they can open them to the true way of the world. The way of our world. They repent to us, or they cease to exist
Rating: C+

(3) Mercedes Martinez vs. Davina Rose
Mercedes (6:37) via Fisherman's Buster
The Originals send a message to Serena Deeb, by brutalizing her protege. Mercedes could've ended this sooner than she did. She could have, but she didn't, and Davina could do nothing but take the beating until Mercedes decided it was over
Rating: D

Fresh off of their win tonight, Hamada and Athena are in the back celebrating when they come across Evie practicing her head kicks. Athena is surprised that Evie wanted a matchup with Cheerleader Melissa tonight, but she's proud of her for wanting the biggest fight she can get, and she knows that Evie's going to do her best to kick some hussy butt.
Evie corrects Athena in saying that as the captain of Team KICK, she's not just going to try, she will. Because science. She then throws a high kick that even Hamada can be impressed by and Evie tells them to watch her tonight, because she's going to do something special
Rating: C+

Elsewhere in the back, we see Portia Perez, earlier, trying to find Nicole Matthews and actually catches her in the parking lot area. She tries to engage Matthews and find out what happened last Volume and Nicole waits her out impatiently then tells her that she's done. She's done being called the worker, while Portia is called the charisma. She's tired of hearing people say how much Portia Perez carries the Canadian Ninjas and that Nicole Matthews is lucky to be where she is. She's not lucky, she's worked her ass off just as hard as anyone and she's done letting someone else take her spotlight. People are going to find out just who was carrying whom in the Canadian Ninjas. Portia wants to retort but Matthews walks off before she even has a chance
Rating: C

(4) Kellie Skater vs. Saraya Knight (w/ Nikki Storm and Rhia O'Reilly)
Saraya (9:45) via pinfall
Saraya Knight is very motivated to put right the wrong of losing to Skater in Volume Ten. She does not do this in an honorable way though, as this match is as filled with interference, blatant low blows and cheap shots, and roughhouse tactics as their first match. The continued breaking of the rules finally brings Jessie McKay and Shazza McKenzie out from the back to neutralize Storm and O'Reilly but the distraction gives Saraya enough time to crack Skater with her loaded punch to pick up the win
Rating: C-

The Dynasty celebrates Saraya's win after the match while the Aussies collect the shaken Skater and stew over this loss
Rating: C+

We return to the backstage area where Dave Prazak is with MsEerie. Prazak is sure they're not feeling much pressure because they're ready for their tag match tonight but aren't they looking ahead, even just a little bit, to the idea of getting themselves a SHIMMER Title shot?
MsChif begins giving a scandal-free response about not looking ahead but Christina Von Eerie cuts her off and says that's a bunch of crap. Of course they're human and they've thought about what is in front of them. When they win tonight, they're going to be in line for a SHIMMER Tag Title match, and that's the thing that they've wanted more than anything, since The Originals tried to end MsEerie. But all they did was strengthen the misery that is going to befall the rest of the SHIMMER roster because she and MsChif have never been more on the same page and they are absolutely ready: Ready for Made in Sin tonight, ready for the Lucha Sisters, ready for Heather Patera and Melanie Cruise. They are ready to take on the world and Torment Your Souls. Oi. Oi. OI. OI. OI! OI!
Rating: C

The Originals are together again, with Mercedes and Melissa flanking Danger. Danger hopes tonight will send a very simple message to the foolish idiots that want to disrespect The Originals: You will pay for your insolence. We might not get to you tonight Serena Deeb, but that doesn't mean we can't hurt you. And if we have to hurt little Davina Rose to get to you, will we. And if we have to do it again, trust me, we will. But if you think you're done with us you are sadly mistaken.
And as for my once and former friend, Leva Bates, you are in for a world of hurt darling. You and you buddy Mia Yim have gotten by, by what stroke of luck I don't know, but it ends now. Maybe not tonight, but soon, because your free ride is over. I'm going to see to it that you have to go through the best SHIMMER has to offer if you think you're going to keep those shiny little belts, and you better just roll over and give up soon. Because if you make me sic these girls on you, only God will be able to help you.
And anyone else who is thinking about pushing your luck, you just remember what happens here tonight and then you think twice, before you cross The Originals
Rating: C+

(5) Nicole Matthews vs. Su Yung
Nicole (4:38) via Vancouver Maneuver
Unburdened by trying to carry Portia Perez any longer, Nicole Matthews shows us all what going into business for herself looks like, and it's not good for anyone that might cross her
Rating: C-

We head to the back where Dave Prazak is about to interview Evie, but before he can even begin Tomoka Nakagawa storms in and starts berating Evie in Japanese. Evie tells her to chill out because she's just going to talk about her match with Melissa tonight, and at hearing that name, Nakagawa takes a sip and unloads the water cannon on Evie who yells about how rude this is as she storms off. Nakagawa gives her shoulder shrug then stares down Prazak and when he asks if she's doing anything later she just slaps the taste out of his mouth and walks off camera but you hear “maybe” in her broken English.
Rating: C

We go to Allison Danger who is with the team of Sassy Stephie & Jessicka Havok, with Mademoiselle Rachelle in tow. Danger only has one thing to say: She hopes very much that they are going to destroy the Lucha Sisters tonight.
Stephie says there isn't a doubt of that. There is no chance that Mia Yim and Leva Bates have tonight against them. They can play all the games they want, everyone knows that Jessicka Havok fashions herself as a certain kind of monster (she says pointing to the Umbrella Corporation logo on her tights), but that doesn't mean that she plays games. You don't, do you Jessicka?
Havok shakes her head. When I come into the building, and put my gear on there is only one thing on my mind: Causing pain, destruction. Causing death. And that's what she is going to do tonight. And if she jus happens to take the SHIMMER Tag Team Titles, well that is just an added benefit for her and Stephie. But don't worry Danger, because she won't have to worry about dealing with the Lucha Sisters again. Cross my heart, hope to die. Stick a needle in their eyes
Rating: C+

(6) Made in Sin - Taylor Made & Allysin Kay vs. MsEerie - MsChif & Christina Von Eerie
CVE (11:52) via 138 on AK
This is a matchup of two teams always near the top of the heap in SHIMMER's tag team division, and both are looking to make an impression at the other's expense. And the Classy Ones are able to keep MsChif and her Scream in check but they have no answer for the Ultraviolent Punk Princess, who throws their class back in their faces with aplomb, and then turns out the lights on Made in Sin's party
Rating: C

Nicole Matthews is in the back, still taking off her ring gear, when she is approached by Veda Scott and Heidi Lovelace. Veda tells Nicole that their mutual associates have taken notice of how impressive Nicole has been lately. Not just handling her business in the ring, but in how she's handled business out of the ring too. And because of that, The Originals would like to present you with a gift, and an opportunity. Veda has Heidi hand Nicole a closed envelope. And she tells Nicole everything is explained in here and Mrs. Danger would like Nicole to go over it and give her a response by the end of the evening.
Nicole takes the envelope but she stops Veda short and asks her why on Earth they would think Nicole wants to take a backseat to them?
Veda simply reminds Nicole that she is but a messenger, and if she wants to know what the deal is, all she needs do is open the envelope. Then she can give any answer she wants. But Nicole knows the value in not crossing them, so there's no reason to expect her to not take this deal.
Veda and Heidi take their leave as Nicole contemplates opening the envelope
Rating: C+

Allison Danger is in the back with the Lucha Sisters, Mia Yim and Leva Bates. Danger doesn't bother wasting any time in asking if they're ready to lose the SHIMMER Tag Titles because tonight is the night it happens.
Mia asks Danger if she is ready to lose the last good brain cells she's got left, because if she pushes her one more time...
Leva steps between them and tells Danger thank you. She taught Leva a lot as the Alfred to her Batman, and she's taught her even more as her Joker. But no, they're not ready. They love what they do and they love that they have the fans behind them supporting them every step of the way. They want to be the people that you look up to, the people that you have fun seeing every time. You've got someone like Jessicka Havok who calls herself a death machine, and wants to bring darkness...bring a plague upon the world. Well sometimes a small band of fighters has to come together to put a stop to it. And tonight, our little piece of SHIMMER becomes the war zone, and we make our stand to stop the death machine and make it safe from the forces that want to corrupt them. Tonight, we all become S.T.A.R.S.

(7) Aussie Rules Wrestling - Madison Eagles & Shazza McKenzie vs. Knight Dynasty - Rhia O'Reilly & Nikki Storm
Shazza (8:05) via La Shazzastral Roll on Rhia
The Aussies are in a bad mood after the earlier match and Madison Eagles is only taking so much of this crap, so the Dynasty makes it their business to work on Shazza instead. This gets them far but once Maddie gets in, there's very little O'Reilly and Storm are going to do about it and Rhia is destroyed by Hellbound. But Shazza is begging...DYING for the tag and Maddie doesn't mind sharing so she tags in Shazza who lets Rhia get to her feet. Rhia tries to swing on Shazza but Shazza ducks and counters, rolling Rhia up in a La Magistral Roll, which Shazza has now rechristened the La Shazzastral Roll, to get the win
Rating: C

While Shazza celebrates profusely, Maddie just finds the ringside camera and makes her intentions known: She's done fooling around and she wants Saraya Knight at Volume Sixteen
Rating: C+

We go to the back where Dave Prazak is with Melanie Cruise. He asks her if she's gotten all of her preparations in for tonight's match and what kind of a role is Heather Patera going to play?
Cruise looks at Prazak sideways and says Heather isn't going to play any role tonight because tonight isn't about Patera and Cruise. Tonight is about her, Melanie Cruise. Wasn't it enough when she beat Hamada? How about when she destroyed Kellie Skater? Melanie Cruise isn't just a puppet. She's learned under the tutelage of a great second-generation wrestler and an even greater partner like Patera, but this is about her. Tonight, she becomes the SHIMMER Champion for herself. Then she and Patera become the SHIMMER Tag Champions and they do that together for each other. And when they rule the world, the world will finally come to understand what their relationship is truly about
Rating: C

(8) Cheerleader Melissa vs. Evie
Evie (10:32) via TTYL
Evie is ready to give Melissa a battle and The Original was not ready for a dogfight, but once Evie tries to cave her chest in with a set of kicks, Melissa warms up to things and these two have a fight. Melissa is too strong and experienced though, and she knows how to outlast an opponent and is on her way to doing just that but she can't fire off the Air Raid Crash. Getting frustrated, Melissa decides to go for the Kudo Driver instead and lifts Evie up but Evie hooks her legs around Melissa's neck and breaks her arms free, countering into a victory roll. Melissa kicks out and as they both scramble to their feet, Evie finds her way first and scoops Melissa up into a flash TTYL, which is able to just barely keep Melissa down for the count
Rating: C

A jubilant Evie celebrates her upset win over a completely shocked Melissa, who cannot believe that she lost. Evie slaps all the hands and jumps and kicks excitedly around the ringside area as Melissa throws a fit in the ring
Rating: C+

Before the SHIMMER Tag Title Match, we get a video recap of the Lucha Sisters beating Havok & Stephie at Volume Three
Rating: C+

(9) SHIMMER Tag Title Match: Lucha Sisters - Leva Bates (as Jill Valentine from Resident Evil) & Mia Yim (c's) vs. Jessicka Havok & Sassy Stephie (w/ Mademoiselle Rachelle)
Havok (14:40) via Demon Drop on Leva
The Luchas know this is stiff challenge in front of them as they only barely survived this team once. They have grown but so has Stephie and Havok, who run roughshod over the champs early. The champs are resourceful though, and try to work on Stephie to keep Havok on the apron but Mia crashes and burns and the challengers take it to her. They work her over for a few minutes but she is able to get to her corner and get one of Raccoon City's finest in the ring to battle the forces of evil. Unfortunately for us all, sometimes the bad guys win as Rachelle wipes Mia out off the ring apron which takes Leva's support away when she needs a tag, and it allows Stephie to stun Leva with a series of forearms. She goes to throw Leva into the ropes but Leva reverses the Irish whip, right into a blind tag from Havok. Leva hits a Superhero Kick but goes for the pin, and she gets lifted straight off of Stephie and into a Demon Drop, and the challenges take the SHIMMER Tag Titles
Rating: C+

Havok, Stephie, and Rachelle celebrate their SHIMMER Tag Title win as Havok tells us there was never a doubt that they would get the job done and this is just the beginning
Rating: C+

(10) SHIMMER Title Match: Serena Deeb vs. Melanie Cruise
Serena (17:52) via Spear
Melanie Cruise is looking to keep the momentum of challengers knocking off the establishment, and taking the SHIMMER Title to boot, and she tries to blow right through The Deebious One to do it, her gameplan to get this over with before Serena can take her into the deep waters. The champ knows how to survive an early onslaught, and even though Cruise lays a good beating on her, Serena just picks her spots and strikes back bit by bit, gaining more ground with each outburst. As Cruise's control wanes she gets sloppy and reckless, which gives Deeb the time and space to strike back in force and she doesn't waste the opportunity. She rocks the challenger with forearms and jabs till Cruise is good and punch drunk, then starts nailing her with hit-and-run tactics, as Cruise fails wildly. Then once the bigger foe is all discombobulated, she runs the ropes and levels her with a Spear. And it doesn't matter how big you are when you're standing because you're getting cut down to size after that
Rating: C+

Nicole Matthews comes to the ringside area and tells Serena her days as SHIMMER champ are numbered. Serena simply holds up the SHIMMER title and tells Nicole that she knows where to find her as Volume Fifteen comes to a close
Rating: C+

Serena... STOP EGGING ON THE ORIGINALS! Your hubris will be the end of you.

Gotta love Evie punching above her weight, and scoring a knockout.

Boy, hope Prazak's relationship isn't that abusive off camera. Through the low blows, water spits, and hands upside the head, Nakagawa is running him through the wringer.

Veda is going to have a stroke, if she ever gets into "it's time" mode without a spotter.

I love the idea of someone that's about 2 1/2 feet tall doing a powerbomb. It would be like a spinebuster from anyone else.

SHIMMER Volume 15 Recap

By: Jason Barkley

I thought my break from writing these columns would make it easier to swallow some of the decisions that SHIMMER made, turns out I was wrong.

Let's get the good over with before diving into the bad.

NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!

I believe I speak for all fans of REAL women's wrestling when I say "About damn time." This should have happened about six volumes ago. Yim and Leva are good undercard workers, a great jobber team to give some teams legitimacy, but they're not good enough to carry a division. They're antics belong in the dark match, not in main events.

Havok and Stephie though bring an instant legitimacy to the title. These two are perfect candidates to carry the belt following that joke reign. Here's hoping to a long and prosperous reign to our new champions.

Nice to see the Originals officially add Nicole Matthews though.

SPEAKING OF THE ORIGINALS

HOW CAN YOU HAVE CHEERLEADER MELISSA LOSE TO EVIE OF ALL PEOPLE?!

The very same Evie who was jobbing in opening matches a few volumes ago, is beating one of the most dominate figures in women's wrestling? The same Cheerleader Melissa who is the head of the Originals, the most dominate faction in women's wrestling? What the HELL are you thinking SHIMMER?

If you keep pulling bullshit like this, there's a strong chance that you're going to start alienating your fanbase. You don't build someone up as a dominant force, and then just throw that all away on a whim. You have RUINED Cheerleader Melissa as a legitimate threat for Serena. Evie isn't going to benefit from this much either. I know SHIMMER was hoping for a net gain in terms of Evie's gain from Melissa's loss, but I'm telling you now, this was nothing but a catastrophic loss. Evie is going to be back at the bottom of the card in two month's time, and Melissa is going to need at least 3 months to get back to where she was.

What a disgrace.

In fact, that pretty much sums up this entire volume, sans the Tag Match.

Eagles wants to go after Knight, but she gave up the pinfall to Shazza, making her look like a chump. When going after the Queen of the Dynasty, you need all the momentum you can get.

Serena is still champion... disgrace.

Undercard Overachiever

Melanie Cruise - Thank you for laying that beatdown on that 'entertainer'.

SHIMMER, please do better for Volume 16. It's getting hard to keep supporting you with the crap you keep putting out.

Until next time, I'm Jason Barkley, signing off.
