AWA Stars of the Game
Week 1 July Tucker Coliseum Russelville, AR (Mid-South) Attendance: 2000

Dark Match: Ken Patera & Bobby Duncum vs. Manny Fernandez & Scott Casey
Patera (4:47) via Swinging Full Nelson on Casey
Rating: B-
Dark Match: “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal vs. Robber Baron #2
Regal (5:47) via rollup
Rating: C-

Live on ESPN

The Wildmen - Smash & Flash vs. The Robber Barons - #1 & #3
Robber Baron #1 (4:34) via Robber Baron Claw on Smash
The older Baron takes one of his young charges under his wing and shows him the path to victory over the Wildmen
Rating: C-

Gene Okerlund is at the AWA logo with his guests at this time California Doll, Brad Rheingans and the Rock & Roll Express. Gene asks how the trio is feeling about their big matches against the Horsemen tonight, considering the conspicuous absence of one Ric Flair. Rheingans speaks up saying he's first and he's going to handle that yellow bellied scoundrel Arn Anderson. The Horsemen, they have no honor, and they only fight for personal glory. Well Brad Rheingans fights for Old Glory and to do what's right. And what's right is to send the Horsemen packing from the AWA! Doll then adds that later on tonight her boys are going to do the same to Orndorff and Martel, and then sooner or later Ric Flair is going to get what's coming to him. She guarantees it!
The foursome leaves at stage left as the full Robber Barons team comes in on stage right. Gene asks the elder Robber Baron if we can expect more of this going forward from him and his charges. Robber Baron #1 says that's right to Gene, because while he's a wily old Baron, he had to scour the land to find the young, hungry, and dangerous next generation. And he's found it in his fellow Robber Barons. And as you saw tonight, once the talent gains experience, there's going to be a lot of looting the AWA for gold in their future
Rating: C+

Brad Rheingans vs Arn Anderson
Double DQ (2:53)
This match never got off the ground as the combatants in the tag match later in the show got involved early and often and with that much interference involved, the referee had no choice but to throw it out
Rating: C+

The Horsemen and R&R&R Express continue to brawl, until Ric Flair makes his way back into an AWA arena. That catches the attention of the R&R Express who defend their California Doll as Flair continues to make his now customary tick, tock cat call to Doll
Rating: C+

Ken Resnick is at the AWA logo to interview Team Patera. Resnick asks Patera and the Sheik Adnan what their next course of action is, who their next target might be. Sheik rambles in his foreign tongue for a moment until Patera steps up and tells Resnick that he's just a simpleton. What kind of tactical master just walks out and gives away his game plan? When Team Patera is ready to strike, he won't have to tell anyone what his game plan is, because it will unfold right before your eyes. Until then, you can sit down, shut up, and watch very closely. As Patera shows you why he's the strongest man in the world
Rating: C+

We switch to an undisclosed location where Nick Bockwinkel is once again testing his Bock's Men, Fit Finlay and Billy Robinson. This time, they're watching two monitors; one of Larry “The Axe”, the other of Lil Baby Hennig. The Bock points out that he's gone to war many a time with the old battleaxe and he can tell you from firsthand experience that he's gone dull as a butter knife so his Bock's Men should be able to handle him no problem. That's why The Bock has petitioned the AWA Competition Committee for a tag match and old man Gagne has approved it. On AWA Worldwide The Bock's Men will eliminate Larry Henning and soften up Lil Baby Hennig in The Bock's name. Then in two weeks, at Superclash, The Bock will relieve the paper champion of the title around his waist. Curt Hennig seems to think he's going to lead a revolution in The Bock's AWA? Well The Bock doesn't remember telling anyone that he was done ruling the AWA, and he's going to teach Lil Baby Hennig a lesson his daddy sorely ought to have about waiting his turn. And when The Bock's done teaching the Hennigs that very painful message, class will be dismissed!
Rating: C+

As Jake Roberts comes to the ring with Freight Train White and Dick the Bruiser for his singles match, they appear in a pop up promo with Roberts reminding us that he's got a very long list of prey to devour, but the Mad Dog is a gamier meal than he expected. So Roberts, being ever the intelligent predator, has brought in backup of his own to finish the job. See what Roberts is capable of with the power of a freight train behind him and cower in fear at the ultimate fate that will befall you
Rating: B-

Jake Roberts vs. King Kong Bundy
Roberts (7:59) via Count Out
King Kong Bundy definitely was in full control for the early portion of the match as Roberts has no answer for the size of Bundy and he struggles to run from Bundy but a well timed distraction from Dick the Bruiser allows Roberts to get on his bicycle and head out of the ring where Freight Train is able to crash Bundy into the ring post with an Avalanche. Bundy goes down to his knees and Roberts picks his moment, pulling back the protective padding on the floor and hitting a DDT on Bundy. Roberts beats the 10 count and Bundy is defeated and injured
Rating: B-

Ken Resnick is at the AWA logo with his guests, The Horsemen. Resnick starts with Anderson asking if it was part of the plan for his singles match with Brad Rheingans to fall apart, but Ric Flair steps in immediately. He says they don't have time to play around because they're still on the clock with lots of business to attend to. Brad Rheingans and the Rock & Roll Express seem to think they can stand between Ric Flair and what he wants. But when a lady catches Ric Flair's eye, well she's already his. And the California Doll, she most certainly has caught the eye of the Nature Boy WOOOO. So just to be clear, the war for the heart and mind of the Doll has already been won, but if the men standing between Ric Flair and what he wants continue to stand in his way, well the war to destroy them won't be over any time soon. But be perfectly clear, that war will be won too. By the Nature Boy WOOOO, and The Horsemen
Rating: B-

As Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin, Precious, and “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal make their way to the ring for Garvin's match, Team Tiger Mask pop up on the screen telling the audience that Sunshine came to AWA to get away from Garvin but he couldn't just let things go, so they're going to deal with this at Superclash. Garvin and Regal versus her boys, Team Tiger Mask. And this will be over, once and for all
Rating: B-

Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin vs. Chris Adams
Garvin (4:52) via sleeper hold
Chris Adams definitely has the athleticism advantage on Garvin but not only is Garvin more gorgeous, but he's also craftier. And he takes full advantage of the numbers game, with Precious distracting the ref while Regal nails Adams in the face with Precious' hairspray bottle (because Regal is a conservationsist, you see), and Garvin locks in a sleeper hold that puts Adams out
Rating: B

Ken Resnick is at the AWA logo with his guests at this time, Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura, Mr. Saito, and Jerry Blackwell representing the Brain and Body Connection. Resnick has learned his lessons and asks if there are any words of wisdom from the B&B going into their main event 10 man tag match. The Brain doesn't appreciate Resnick's flippant tone (Resnick looks confused as he stayed journalistically neutral), but he will impart a suggestion on Hulk Hogan: Run away. Everybody knows the locker room is scared of what the Heenan Family and the Brain and Body Connection is capable of. That's why the only people Hogan has found to team with him are a lunatic on the fringe of society, and a crazy Indian who doesn't know what fights to keep his nose out of. But the bottom line is this: It doesn't matter what yahoos the Snake Oil Salesman found to team with him, there isn't a force in professional wrestling that can stand up to this collection of talent. And that's a fact, Jack!
Resnick laments that his name STILL isn't Jack as the B&B exit, to make room for Team Gorgeous – Jimmy Garvin, Precious and Steve Regal. Resnick fights through Precious testing her spray can to see if it still works, to ask if Garvin has any words for Sunshine's challenge to face off at Superclash. Precious goes off like a Roman Candle barking that Sunshine has no authority to put her man in a match like that and Precious will get hers when she rips her hair out strand by strand. Garvin cools his Squeeze off and reminds her everything is going according to plan, so he's got no problem with seeing Sunshine and Team Tiger Mask at Superclash. It just means phase two in the plan to blot out the sun is ready to be implemented. Garvin cackles and says very soon, the cloudy days for AWA will begin.
Rating: B-

The Horsemen - Paul Orndorff & Rick Martel vs. The Rock 'N Roll Express – Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson
Morton (11:57) via double dropkick on Orndorff
With the extra members of both teams banned from ringside, this actually stays a wrestling match. The Horsemen are skilled wrestlers and take time to wear down Gibson, but they can't land a killing blow and Gibson is able to make it to the corner to tag in Morton. Morton cleans house but The Horsemen get the advantage and try to Irish whip the Express into each other. Morton leapfrogs Gibson though, and they clear Martel out of the ring before hitting their patented double dropkick on Orndorff to pick up the victory
Rating: B+

Gene Okerlund and Ken Resnick are at the AWA logo to make the announcements for AWA Worldwide: The Hennigs, Larry and Curt, will team up to face off with The Bock's Men, Fit Finlay and Billy Robinson, the Vachon brothers will be in action, plus after the shenanigans tonight, the AWA Competition Committee has decided there will be an 8 man tag match with the full Horsemen team facing the Rock & Roll Express, Brad Rheingans and Ricky Steamboat. Ken Resnick then makes his way out as Gene Okerlund welcomes Team Hogan of the AWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Wahoo McDaniel and their two partners, Greg Gagne and Big Scott Hall to the interview area. Gene starts with the upstarts asking what has brought them into this fight. Gagne makes it clear that this is the AWA, this is Gagne Country, and he knows without a shadow of a doubt, if there is a fight to be fought for the soul of the AWA, that's a fight that has the Gagne name written all over it. Big Scott Hall mentions that the Heenans, the B&B, whatever they're calling themselves this week, well they took out his partner, the Milkman. Big Scott Hall has a big bone to pick with the Heenans and he can't think of a better way to strike back than to stand by the Hulkster.
Gene then goes to Piper and Wahoo to ask if they are still focused on bringing down the AWA World Tag Team Champions, the Road Warriors. Piper makes it clear that there's no doubt that they are the rightful number one contenders to the World Tag Titles and when they win tonight, there's no doubt they will get the next tag title shot at the Road Worriers. Wahoo agrees because they've beaten The Hawk and The Animal once, they'll do it again tonight, and then God willing they'll do it again at Superclash with the belts on the line.
Gene moves on to the AWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and notes that the usual braggadocio is not on display and asks if The Brain and The Body have gotten under the Hulkster's skin. Hogan admits that The Weasel and his newest recruit have gotten to the Hulkster. When he was chasing Nick Bockwinkel and winning the AWA Worlds Heavyweight Title, he thought he understood what it was going to take to be the very top of the mountain, to be at the pinnacle of this business. But it's not what he thought it would be, Mean Gene. It's a struggle every single night, with everyone gunning for you, with every Tom, Dick, and Harry thinking they deserve what's yours. But don't let this confuse you, everybody. The Hulkster IS the AWA World Champion, and the very best in the business. And come Superclash, he is going to prove that when he pins Jesse The Body's shoulders to the mat. So he hopes Ventura meets him in the middle of the ring like a man, so he can get a preview of what he has to look forward to
Rating: C+

Jesse Ventura, Mr. Saito, Jerry Blackwell & The Road Warriors - Hawk & Animal vs. Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Wahoo McDaniel, Greg Gagne & Big Scott Hall
Hogan (15:04) via Big Leg Drop on Saito
This match was a farce with Ventura doing everything in his power to avoid the AWA World Heavyweight champion, while Hogan could barely contain his desire to crush Ventura. That led to him falling prey to Jerry Blackwell for a moment before regaining control. The match turned when the Road Warriors were able to isolate Greg Gagne and the B&B were able to work the Beanpole over. But Gagne's training has strengthened him, and he was able to endure the onslaught long enough to separate from Saito to get the tag to Wahoo. The big chief came in running shop until things inevitably broke down: The Road Warriors pair off with Piper and Wahoo, Gagne and Hall cancel out Blackwell and Ventura begs off when Hogan calls for him to fight, so Saito pays the price as Hogan drops the leg
Rating: B

After the match, as bedlam continues between the others, Hogan calls for Ventura to fight him and Ventura makes it clear it will be on his schedule, just as Bruiser Brody wipes Hogan out with a Big Boot. Ventura climbs into the ring and smiles saying now is, in fact the time, and locks in the Body Breaker on Hogan, as Brody stands guard and The Brain mocks Hogan verbally. The other good guys finally break away and get in the ring to drive away the B&B but they've done the damage as Hogan is barely moving. Ventura and Heenan reiterate that they're going to take the AWA World Heavyweight Title at Superclash, as AWA Stars of the Game comes to a close
Rating: B

Final Rating: B

Given the untested battleground that is Mid-South, I'd say this show went rather well, actually. The guys who are over in that area were utilised well, even if I was surprised to see Big Scott Hall in the Main Event.

A lack of Curt Hennig though, all the same, but him and the Axe versus the Bock's Men should be a rip-roaring good time.

Hogan simply cannot have an unmolested nice thing. He can win battles, but Body & Brain have a monopoly when it comes to last laughs.

Oh, don't worry, the Newsletter Wrestling Community Fan is all angered up again and smashing away at the keyboard of his Commodore 64. He doesn't even think his dot matrix printer can handle the pure fire he's going to unleash in his next fan letter to the newsletters and The Grappler.

"So, AWA is just about pushing the bosses son now for sure. Did you see how Greg Gagne, the human twig, got put in the Main Event? He made the Road Warriors look LAME. They're supposed to be human wrecking machines but can't beat up a walking broom handle? LAME. Oh, and how nice of Hogan to show up and actually do something for once besides hit his five moves of doom and strut around like he's so important. Yeah, AWA, best in the world, new blood mixing with the old, unlike WWF, which is all old guys, yeah, you guys are great, burying young, raw talent like Ric Flair and Randy Savage. At least MACW USES Ric Flair. AWA just wants to use great, big, musclemen, while guys like Chris Adams can go out there and have match of the night and get buried. Chris Adams should be champ and until Chris Adams is champ I'm not watching AWA anymore. Except for when I do. Which is every damn show. But only ironically, so I can laugh at home LAME it is. It doesn't matter anyway, you're not a TRUE wrestling fan unless you watch Championship Wrestling from Florida or Stampede. Everything else is LAME. Now, I'm going to go play the new Signals album by Rush until I forget about this shitty booking.

P.S. Neil Peart is GOD"

Yaaaarrr, the Robber Barons be searchin' for booty.

Luckily, it's not the same type of booty Flair is after, otherwise there might be problems.

Patera sure is being vague about who his next target's gonna be. You're going to make us tune into Superclash to find out, aren't you... Stupid waiting games.

You just straight up murdered King Kong Bundy... What. The Fuck... Is WRONG with you? Like, Either the Avalanch or the DDT Would've been enough, but you had to do fucking BOTH? Where's my fainting couch?

Flair's won the war for Doll's heart and mind, but he's not interested in that... He's caught up in his war for her body. What a dirty fuckin' dude.

R&R! NICE THINGS! YAAAAAY!

NO BAD THINGS! FUCKING BRODY! God DAMN it. Let Hogan be the Man, Heenan! Fuckin' jackass. Always with the underhanded shit.

I love this R&R/Horsemen feud over Cali Doll. It was easy money in the bank when I paired her with R&R because it has heel turn for Cali written all over it. Goober knows money in the bank when he sees it.

And yeah, the Snake did the number on ol' Kong alright.

AWA Worldwide
Week 2 July, Recreation Facility Marshall, MN (Midwest) Attendance: 4658

Dark Match:Chris Adams vs. Wildman Dash
Adams (4:54) via Super Kick
Rating:C+
Dark Match: The Crusher & King Kong Bundy vs. Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin & “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal
Garvin (5:35) via Brainbuster on The Crusher
Rating: B

Live on Superstation TBS

We start AWA Worldwide with Jake Roberts Freight Train White and Dick the Brusier in a pop up promo, with Roberts making clear that every man in the AWA is just his prey. He showed us all another example of what he's capable of when he put down King Kong, so imagine what he can do to a Mad Dog or a Butcher...
Rating: A

The Vachons vs. Rip Oliver & Bryan St. John
Mad Dog (3:14) via rollup on St. John
The Vachons look far less than concerned, as they get the job done here in quick fashion
Rating: B-

Ken Resnick is at the AWA Logo with his guests at this time; California Doll with the Rock & Roll Express, Brad Rheingans and The Dragon Ricky Steamboat. Resnick asks if they have all their game plans laid out for facing the Horsemen tonight in our main event. Steamboat and Rheingans respectively answer in the affirmative. Rheingans is on a collision course with Rick Martel, and they'll definitely cross paths tonight, while the Rock & Roll have a dance with Anderson and Orndorff on their card. And that just leaves the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. The Dragon hasn't forgotten how he stole that last match, that final victory away from him, but the time is drawing closer, where Flair won't be able to run from him anymore and when he gets one more chance, he will burn Ric Flair and take that title from him, once and for all.
That fivesome makes their way out to allow the victorious Vachons in. Resnick brings them up to speed on what Jake Roberts said and Mad Dog isn't very surprised. He already knows what Roberts is capable of, he's seen it first hand. But come Superclash, he's going to put a stop to that slimy snake's reign of terror because he's got his little brother by his side. The Butcher snorts and notes that he's never had the pleasure of trying snake but he's heard it tastes like chicken. Mad Dog laughs and says in just over a week, they'll get to find out for themselves, when they take a bite out of Jake Roberts and the Freight Train White
Rating: B

As Team Tiger Mask makes their way to the ring, Team Gorgeous shows up in a pop up promo with Jimmy Garvin hoping TTM is ready for what awaits them at Superclash, but really they should be careful what they wish for. They think they want to come after Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin and Mr. Electricity? Well all you had to do was say so. But you're going to regret every moment of it. Garvin guarantees it
Rating: C+

Team Tiger Mask vs. Super Destroyers
TM I (5:37) via Tiger Suplex Hold on SD II
The Super Destroyers get a minute or two of action in on TM II but he gets the tag to TM I who wastes no time in taking out Super Destroyer II
Rating: B+

We go to a gym in Venice Beach, California where Hulk Hogan has invited out Roddy Piper and Wahoo McDaniel for a special training session. Piper looks especially smug, having survived one of these before and goads on the big chief but Wahoo says he's ready for whatever the Hulkster can dish out. After a medley of weight lifting between the trio we see Piper in the ring hip tossing poor souls, while Wahoo lands a flurry of sharp knife edged chops, and it's all brought home by Hogan landing a Big Leg Drop and an Axe Bomber. The trio then declares themselves ready for battle and promises that come Superclash, they'll be ready to teach the Heenan Family a lesson they'll never forget
Rating: A*

Big Scott Hall & Greg Gagne vs. Bruiser Brody & Mr. Saito
Brody (4:41) via Running Knee Drop on Gagne
Hall and Gagne acquitted themselves very well and did not back down from the Heenan Family members, but the match turned when Team Patera made their presence felt. Ken Patera locked the Swinging Full Nelson on Big Scott Hall on the outside which distracted Gagne long enough for the Brusier to land a big boot, then follow up with the Running Knee Drop to get the win
Rating: B+

Ken Resnick is joined at the AWA Logo by the Nick Bockwinkel and his Men. Resnick inquires about the study session we saw on AWA Stars of the Game and asks if Bockwinkel has found a flaw in the Hennig's game that he can exploit tonight. The Bock laughs and lets us know that he didn't find a flaw...he found EVERY flaw, and it starts tonight when the Bock's Men euthanize the dull old Axe. And then they will systematically decimate Lil Baby Hennig until there's nothing left to do except for The Bock to win the North America Heavyweight Championship. And then, and only then, will class be dismissed!
The Bock and his Men exit as Team Patera enters the interview area. Resnick is appalled by Patera's actions but states that it seems pretty clear that Patera is targeting Greg Gagne now. Patera sarcastically applauds Resnick's deductive skills but concedes that yes, Patera is out to teach Gagne a lesson for embarrassing Patera and his boys. So they are going to make his life miserable, until they decide otherwise. And there's not a thing that scrawny little Beanpole can do about it
Rating: B

The Hennigs show up in a pop up promo on their way to the ring for their match. The Axe is more than ready to fight by his son's side but this is Curt's moment to shine. Curt agrees and lets everyone know that he respects everything that Nick Bockwinkel has accomplished in the AWA but the writing is on the wall. Hulk Hogan relieved him of the AWA World Heavyweight Title, and he is a part of that new generation of stars. So you better believe there's no way he's losing to Bockwinkel at Superclash!
Rating: B

The Hennigs vs. The Bock's Men - Billy Robinson & Fit Finlay
Finlay (7:50) via pinfall on The Axe
Both Curt and The Axe came out firing on The Bock's Men sending them running but Robinson and Finlay take the advantage on Hennig, positing that if they wear down the younger, stronger competitor, they can pick the bones on the old man. The plan works pretty well and a very worked over Curt gets to the corner to tag in his old man. The Axe is far sharper than The Bock gave him credit for as he chops down Robinson & Finlay repeatedly, but the tide turns when The Bock distracts the ref by going after Hennig on the outside, giving Robinson time to smash Finlay's shillelagh over the back of The Axe's head, allowing Finlay to pick up the pinfall

Ken Resnick and Gene Okerlund are at the AWA Logo with an update on the current card for Superclash: Hulk Hogan vs. Jesse Ventura for the World Heavyweight Title, Curt Hennig vs. Nick Bockwinkel for the North American Heavyweight Title. And newly announced for Superclash: The AWA Worlds Tag Team Titles will officially be on the line as The Road Warriors will defend against Roddy Piper & Wahoo McDaniel, Team Tiger Mask will battle Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin & “Mr. Electricity Steve Regal, as well as The Vachon Brothers will face off with Jake Roberts and Freight Train White in tag team action. Plus Verne Gagne will be live in the arena on AWA Stars of the Game with further announcements about the card for Superclash. Resnick then makes his way out for The Horsemen to come in and speak with Okerlund.
Gene tells Flair they go back a long way but he has never seen a man act as deplorably as he has seen Flair behaving towards the California Doll these past few weeks. Flair blanches and Arn Anderson steps up asking if Flair has said anything wrong. Gene tries to implore how improper Flair has been behaving but Anderson reiterates that he has done nothing but tell the truth. The Horsemen, they take what they want, when they want. When they want titles, they will take them. When they want the accolades, they will have those too. But right now -- Ric Flair cuts in saying that what they want right now, is the California Doll taking her RIGHTFUL place on the arm of the Nature Boy. Taking an all-night ride WOOOO on Space Mountain, while she gets wined and dined like only Ric Flair can. Tick tock, California Doll. You can end this war right now, if you just do what is right and take your spot amongst the finest collection of wrestlers on the planet, on the arm of the finest specimen of man you will ever find. Tick tock, California Doll. When will you be mine, so I can call off these men that want to destroy everything you hold dear? Tick tock, California Doll. Tick. Tock

The Horsemen - Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Paul Orndorff & Rick Martel vs. Ricky Steamboat, Brad Rheingans & The Rock & Roll Express - Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton
Flair (10:57) via Small Package on Morton
The various pairings at war here didn't take long to find each other: Early on, Rheingans and Martel brawled themselves right out of ringside and out of the arena area. Robert Gibson takes it right to Arn Anderson, but the difference is after ramming Steamboat into the security railing, he starts to make a move on California Doll which gets both of the R&R's attention. Gibson slingshots over the top rope to take out Orndorff but Morton's momentary lapse gets him caught with a low blow and a small package as the Horsemen strike another blow in their favor

We cut to the AWA Logo where the full Heenan Family stands together with Bobby Heenan and Jesse Ventura standing in front. They have a very simple message for the forces that have aligned themselves to challenge the position of the group of men standing here before you: If you choose to fight these men, you will lose. You will be battered and bruised, and then you will be discarded by the wayside while they collect everything worth owning. They already have the AWA World Tag Team Titles and if Roddy Piper and Wahoo McDaniel want to challenge for the belts, they'll find out first hand the power of the best tag team in wrestling. But more than that,. very soon the AWA World Heavyweight Champion will reside in the Family. Hulk Hogan certainly did them a favor by winning the World Title because he's no match for their combined force. So he might as well make it easy on himself and just gift wrap the title because come Superclash, he and all the AWA fans will realize just how ahead of the game The Brain is, when the Brain & Body have left Hulk Hogan broken and ruined. Only then, will the Heenan Family move on to the ultimate goal of proving they are the greatest force in wrestling by proving the only real champion in wrestling is the man holding the AWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. So that poser that is so infatuated with his time pieces may want to start paying attention to the clock. Because Heenan promises very soon that clock will run out! Heenan and Ventura preen while the monsters behind him snarl, as AWA Worldwide comes to a close

- Love the training montage.

- Brody and Saito appropriately mashed Hall and Gagne like potatoes.

- The idea of the Crusher taking a brainbuster is a 0_o moment.

- The Hennig's match was well done.

- The Horsemen promo was fantastic.

- The Main event and the Heenan promo to close out the show was a rip roaring good time.

Bobby Heenan turned Ric Flair's clock right the fuck around on him.

Tick tock, so-called champ.

Tick. Tock.
