Sharks are getting their own beer - Chum Red Ale:

Wonder how many other teams will follow in this direction?

I'd be interested to taste it.

Also, Edmonton's season kicks off in exactly one month. They'll be opening their season on home ice against the Flames.

Isles kick things off a day later in their home city, albeit at MSG with the Rangers.

And the defending Champions, Pittsburgh, kick things off the same day as the Isles when they host the Caps.

Less than 5000 tickets sold for the World Cup preliminary round in Pittsburgh tomorrow.

Guess not many are expressing interest in Team North America vs. Team Czech Republic or the intended draw of Canada vs. Russia...

Now that the 2016-17 hockey season's officially over, time to focus on upcoming offseason happenings, particularly the expansion draft!

Next up: June 20, 2017!

As if there was any contest, ;)

Going to be interesting to see who all the teams protect from the expansion draft and what deals they make with Vegas to protect additional players. The only players I would bet for sure on Edmonton protecting are McDavid, Draisaitl and Cam Talbot. If it were me I would protect Pat Maroon too and try to protect as many defenders as possible. Eberle and Nuge-Hopkins I would leave open. Their contracts are so expensive that they're not likely to be picked and definitely not both of them and if one is picked, that frees up a lot of cap space for the Oilers.

I recently got involved with an offseason sim. It's been both fun and complicated, to say the least.

This is what I've accomplished so far as the Sharks' GM in the offseason simulator.

I like that with at least two of your trades you acquired former Oilers players.

I'm glad you're pleased. :D

The mock Nashville GM tried to talk me into trading Neal for Thornton's UFA rights and Hertl. Oh HELL no!
