Fans of lower league teams in England often like to sing "It's just like watching Brazil" whenever their team plays well. I think that song might take on a different meaning from now on.

Why hasn't anybody campaigned for an edit button?

That link is a video of the highlights of the match, as called by J.R

On the fifth goal we get the "Will somebody stop the damn match, enough's enough!" line.

The need for the edit function to be extended to this forum has been noted. It's on the to-do list.

I was being ironical good sir. I imagined somewhere that Nucks had started to twitch when I posted that.

Brazil will have won another World Cup by the time this forum gets an edit button.

That was a mighty impressive game that Germany played tonight. The margin of their victory, however, will just make it all the more tragic when Messi beats them in the final.

Would it be that surprising if Netherlands beats Argentina tomorrow? I wouldn't rule that out.

I love the first one the most I think and the last one is great too. But the corner just has me keeling over and howling with laughter. CAN YOU FEEL IT, CAN YOU SENSE IT, CAN YOU SEE IT, HERE IT COMES. I laugh every time.

BTW the last one referred to the last German goal.

Germany is very vulnerable to long balls over the heads of defenders. If Netherlands wins tomorrow, they've got the ability to exploit that. I like Germany's chances better against Argentina. That match would just hinge on whether Messi makes the magic happen or not.

I mean when even the completely demoralized Brazilians are scoring on you, on a long ball over the top, you know you have a problem

Good thing the Americans didn't figure that out.

My Facebook and Twitter feeds inform me that this game was multiple levels of ridiculousness.

The top rated national team in the world, got smashed 7-1, on their home soil, in the biggest game of their lives?

Yes, I'd say that qualifies for multiple levels of ridiculousness

Silva's importance to the Brazilian defence looks indisputable, too.
