So far I've only got one that still has a chance of being right, provided Boston can beat Washington on Wednesday.

Holy dog shit was I wrong about most of it. At least I got the Blues right, almost had the Preds right (One More Game!!!) and can still get either the Blackhawks or the Panthers right. But my god, have the top seeds just been utter shit this year.coalition77 wrote:Vancouver in 5

Re: NHL 2012 Playoffs
So Round 2 in the west is decided, it's King vs Blues and Coyotes vs. Predators. Should be interesting, all four of these teams are cup virgins. When the East is finished I'll put up a bracket for our predictions again.

Boy am I glad the Bruins are out. The less success Boston teams have, the better for my sanity

Last games of round 1 tonight. Should be interesting, if Florida and Ottawa win, we'll have only one team in Round 2 with any previous Cups to their name, and that's Philly, who've gone almost forty years without a cup.

Re: NHL 2012 Playoffs
So many close games, this has been one hell of a postseason. I'm kind of intrigued by the Washington/New York series as I'm wondering if either Lundqvist can start to get going. He has been kinda shaky so far. Also, love the goalie matchup in the Phoenix/Nashville matchup. Should be a good second round.

Re: NHL 2012 Playoffs
I agree, 2nd round should be great. I also echo Neish's sentiments regarding Canada rallying around Ottawa, of all teams. In the east they're generally hated by both Habbies and Leafers, and the west are generally indifferent to the Sens when compared to the Leafs/Habs. Winnipeg's just happy to have a team again.
One thing I've wondered, why do Toronto call the team the Maple Leafs versus the Maple Leaves?

Kings over Blues in 7
Coyotes over Predators in 6
Rangers over Capitals in 5
Devils over Flyers in 7
I wound up being right about 3 of them in the first round...hopefully I'm right about 3 in the second as well.

Re: NHL 2012 Playoffs
Devils/Flyers is going to be an interesting series. Bryzgalov has been a wall in the regular season vs the Devils. 3-0 with a GAA under .50. They split the regular season, but the Devils didn't win one game where Bryz was in net. I'm going Flyers in 5.

Jersey up a goal already, PHX, NYR and LAK taking the first games of their series; certainly shaping up to be interesting alright.
