If the Kings don't win the cup, it'll be a travesty of great magnitude.

When Brodeur retires, the entire state of New Jersey will openly weep for weeks.

Why would it be a travesty for Brodeur to lead this new crop of Devils to a Stanley Cup, in what would likely then be his last year in the league?

The Kings, for their remarkable performance as an eighth place seed, knocking out the top three seeds in quick fashion, The Kings are far more deserving of the cup than the Devils.
