The UK raiding Ecuadorian embassy?

Not sure if anyone is up right now, but this is a stream on the front of the Ecuadorian embassy where Julian Assange is staying.

For those not familiar with the story:

So the UK wants to basically commit an act of war in order to "question" the founder of WikiLeaks about sexual assault charges? Welcome to 1984 everyone. Free speech is dead.

Not quite. Britain has the power under UK Law to revoke the status of said embassy should they not be in compliance with UK law as a whole, such as harbouring criminals. Assange has broken the conditions of his bail so that's him. Britain are not going to question Assange, they're going to stick him on an aeroplane to Sweden to face charges of sexual assault.

As it stands, nothing is going to happen. To revoke the Embassies status requires an act of parliament, parliament is disbanded till September so everything is on hold. Hope Assange is happy living at the Embassy, he's not going to be leaving for a long time
