Little Jimmy do you still use k-lite codec pack? because I am because
I bought a usb 32gb and put all my files on mp4 format and my dvd player
has a usb holder that I would have to use avi instead but I could just view
mine on my computer and know my files are on my usb sticks and doesnt hurt
anything.

I lost the site you gave me thow but still have k-lite codecs on my computer
and you are the best to give me it.

Heh. Yes I still use the k-lite codec pack (http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm), it covers pretty much all video formats. Glad you are still giving me props for something I suggested to you over two years ago: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=33062&p=602450

I use a combination of DivX player and VLC. DivX more lately since I upgraded to Windows 10. Should have all your bases covered there.

Out of habit, I keep my pc turned on at all times. Went to bed last night and had a prompt about updates and my pc needing to restart so I shrugged and shut the pc down. Booted it up a little while ago and the time of turning it on and getting to the login screen took about 5-10 seconds. This is extraordinarily fast.

+1 to Win 10 positives

So lads, I bought that new computer I talked about and went with a HP All-in-one desktop. It came with Windows 10 and I have to say that thus far, I'm very satisfied with it. It's got the aesthetic of Windows 8, and X-Box One but the familiarity and sensibilities of Windows 7. The start menu is a bit of a nuisance, but perhaps I'll get accustomed to it.

I'm still working out the menu. I only just worked out I can drag things onto the right side and reposistion them. Congrats on your new toy.

That is neat, I didn't know that either. Maybe this start menu isn't so bad after all, I just have to customize it a little more to get what I want out of it.

I've learned that if my opinion is as ubiquitous as ones that can be found on a phone in talk radio show then it is one that is not worth having or sharing.

There's a video going around of a famous youtuber (who I've never heard of) pranking his friend with the aid of the friends best friend. In summary (and title of the video), the friend believes his best friend is killed.

Vid in the spoiler - it's potentially traumatic so warning ahead of time before watching. Many people have discussed breaking down crying watching it unfold.
Spoiler: show
I don't find it humorous at all and worry about the psychological damage done to the friend. I'd like to believe it was staged by all involved parties, but the physical reaction you can see by the person being pranked doesn't seem like it's possible to pull off on demand.

That was such a stupid thing to do Andy, I admire their balls, though.

If it wasn't staged, then that's an unbelievably scummy thing to do. I think a series of swift kicks to the balls would have been a more appropriate reaction than an emotional hug once the truth became clear.

I love September.

In Virginia, it is still summer. Take a drive up to the mountains, and it's the beginning of fall. Kids are back in school. Wonderful time of year.

January is great! January is my birth month. Also, there's a high probability (for Georgia anyway) of snow and work being closed due to it.
