Rugby without a doubt. That might not have been my answer three or four years ago, but my interest in the sport has grown a lot since then. At the same time, I'm once again becoming quite apathetic towards soccer. The sport is corrupt on so many levels and the standard of teams in Ireland and the UK has dropped massively. At this stage, only the Spanish game is keeping my interest alive.

One of the things that makes rugby so engaging for me is that it's the only popular team sport at which Ireland excels on the global stage. We currently have the best team in Europe and have a genuine shot at winning the World Cup in September. I've also spent much of the last five years in the main rugby city of Ireland, which has had an effect.

Rugby still runs primarily on passion and skill, and has not sold its soul in the same way that soccer has. I've also come to really enjoy watching a good game. It's almost like American football without a stoppage in play every ten seconds.

I'm not sure how to interpret this question. If something embarrassing happens, I suppose I get embarrassed. I'm naturally quite shy and don't like being the centre of attention. I'm more of a background person when I find myself in a public setting.

I don't know if that's specific enough.

To use any number of examples, let's pretend you were in a big rush some morning to get to work . . . . Somewhere along your commute you notice that you put your shirt on backwards during a mad scramble to get ready, and it's quite noticeable to others. You can tell some people you see on a semi-regular basis had been kind of looking at you funny, a couple of people point and laugh. Would you be very embarrassed about that situation and feel a strong desire to fix your shirt? Would you be thinking about it the whole rest of the time until you could get to an appropriate setting to fix it? Would you think about it the next time you saw those people, like they're thinking "oh there goes that idiot who doesn't even know how to wear his shirt"?

Something like a back-to-front shirt really wouldn't bother me. I'd probably just laugh it off and would hopefully come up with some witty quip, before changing at the first available opportunity. Given my profession, which involves standing in front of well over 100 students on a daily basis, I'm constantly checking my appearance throughout the day so as to ensure that my tie is always straight, shirt tucked in, etc.

One time I realised that my fly was down just as I was about to enter the classroom. Now that would have been mortifying.

Have you ever had a paper airplane thrown at you while your back was turned?

Not directly at me, but I've had one thrown across the room from one student to another on a few occasions. This is very difficult to combat, so I've developed a habit of turning around sharply at completely random intervals while I'm writing something with my back to the class. This makes people a lot more reluctant to risk it.

Just a short series of not quite drabbles but not quite short stories I've been working on. What do you think?

I think 3-year-old Max does a lot better with women than 17-year-old me did.

Nicely written. I liked the attention to detail.

When you get around to it, will you tell me which is your favorite so far and why?

Would you do me a favor?

Pick a letter from A-C, then pick a whole number from 1-45, and then repeat that process three times total

I still plan on getting back to your previous question. It's just been a busy week.

Things are quite good, thank you. My life is quite consumed by work from Monday to Friday, but the weekends are nice. With the way things worked out this week, I managed to get Friday off, which means that I am currently in the middle of a three-day weekend.

Hey Tamer, did you ever notice that after you and Evan gave me a salute that I edited my post right after it to reflect that?
