Re: Bring Back Foley

Good point, but at this point it's all speculation if Mick is even GOING to the E, he might just work on his charity and get back to authoring.

Re: The Punk Rock Discussion Thread

There you go, that's what I'm talking about. A minor counter point to that thought, that's what you find to be catchy though, what Slayer and myself find catchy are different from that, and I'm sure different from each other too. People within the music world have been trying to find "catchy" for ye...

Re: Bring Back Foley

He's proven to still be an awesome talker, so you've got a commentary (In fact, he's proven himself on Colour commentary before too - I'd take him over Lawler any day of the week) And I Quote: one of the reasons Foley listed for leaving the fed in the first place was not enjoying doing commentary w...

Re: Scenario.

In that regard I didn't see him as anything too special, he was able to get the crowd to hate him, but at that time all it took was for him to yell in a language remotely resembling middle eastern and to say he hated the U.S in English. He had a decent amount of charisma, and he was just o.k in term...

Re: The Punk Rock Discussion Thread

You've even taken to rebelling against the most popular punk bands currently going. Rather than take the other points that have been mentioned and build strong arguements for your side of things you've pondered why no one's "picked good bands to tear apart" but all you've done is drop the names of t...

Re: The Punk Rock Discussion Thread

The other thing I'd like to add is that much of Punk's popularity comes from it's rebellious nature and how that appeals to Teenagers, who in most cases rebel against whatever is their personal establishment at that age anyway. Back in the early days it was, as I mentioned previously, the unified re...

Re: The Punk Rock Discussion Thread

I find Punk to have simplistic approach, which is kind of it's trademark. The thing that defined punk in it's roots was it's anti-establishment, anti-pop viewpoint, the music was just that backdrop for the whole movement. I do like a bit of Ramones, The Clash, Black Flag and the Sex Pistols every no...

The funniest thing I've ever heard regarding Jerry Seinfeld was an impression of him done by Gilbert Gottfried, which is also the only time I've laughed at Gilbert Gottfried.

Been listening to a lot of Stone Sour today, their newest album, Audio Secrecy is fantastic. They've really progressed and matured since their first outing.

Re: Bring Back Foley

IF, in some way shape or form Foley were to return to the E, you can guarantee there would be zilch mentioned about "the other guys", even if he were the big reveal as the mysterious GM. He could be an effective manager, the man can talk and there are lots of guys (i.e DH Smith) who could use the he...

Re: Scenario.

Hassan was largely over and was having a great fued with 'Taker, but what kyfed his run was the poorly timed angle where three masked "terrorists" strangled 'Taker with piano wire the same week of the UK subway bombings. They killed the fued shortly after in that match where 'Taker put Hassan throug...

Re: Favorite Comedian

In Canada we have a show called Just For Laughs that has a festival in Montreal that's ran every year for 27 years, a lot of fantastic comedians have gotten their start there and went on to become famous. I've watched a lot of this show, and a lot of other stand up comedy shows I can get my hands on...

Re: Best Sitcoms of the 2000's?

I'd love to say That 70's Show, as it's my favorite show, but it debuted in '98, so it's a grey area. I guess you could get by with saying it, as 6 out of 8 seasons aired in the 2000's... Barring 70's Show I'd have to go with Big Bang Theory as my favorite of the decade, awesome, awesome show. How I...

Re: TNA fanboys don't want you to critique their product

Sweet Jesus on a pogo stick, are you kidding me? Alex Shelley is one of the finest chain wrestlers I've ever seen, he's got speed, fluidity and psychology oozing from everywhere and Chris Sabin's a solid all arounder to call them glorified gymnasts is insulting. AJ, Daniels and Kaz are all fantastic...

Re: Scenario.

Well, he's 6'2 with a decent build, so he's not too small, no smaller than Bret Hart or Chris Jericho, or even his old man for that matter. I guess they're just waiting for the right time to debut him, possibly in the next season of NXT or on a standalone basis like Mason Ryan and Jinder Mahal.
